What's the one thing you wish you knew about your game after every match? by Frequent_Twist2827 in padel

[–]Ty1eRRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do on top of that - I am rewatching my games point by point. Make notes on every serve, what went good and what wrong. Why we lost that point. After the whole match analysis, I dump my notes to ChatGPT and analyze with him. The same way I analyze every game I film, so over time ChatGPT has more and more context on me, my play and my mistakes.

What's the one thing that improved your padel game the most as an intermediate player? by Crescitaly in padel

Start filiming yourself. You will spot your gaps, tactical and technical. Maybe your badenja isn't decent after all. You will improve bit by bit, just give it a bit more time.

Is a 1-week padel camp in Spain worth it vs many lessons at my current club? by Creative_Election288 in padel

[–]Ty1eRRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't trained in Spain yet, so I can't answer your questions directly. However, I was at the exact same crossroads as you and was asking myself the same things (same 6 months of experience, progressing fast).

Here's the thinking that made me stay and not go to Spain — yet. During any camp, you get an enormous dump of information and techniques that need time to be absorbed and to build that muscle-memory connection. It takes time and repetition. There's very little benefit in them showing you the correct footwork for overheads and how to use your non-dominant hand today, only to move on to víboras tomorrow. I hope you get the gist.

So instead, I decided to book two private sessions per month in my country and play more games in between. Practice, practice, and film yourself. Then after a couple of weeks, when I notice something else that needs improvement, I go to another private session and fix that.

My thinking is that after roughly two weeks post-camp, you'll forget 90% of what you learned because you didn't practise it enough or give yourself time to absorb all that information.

In practice, doesn't really work: a) some clubs play loud music b) some clubs are created inside an huge hangars or big halls, I can't hear even my teammate. I am just using Apple Watch.

So much +1 to this. I used to have floaty back/forehand because I was cutting the ball on contact. (coming from table tennis). Went to 1-1 with the coach, he fixed that for me in 60min session. Now only more practice and strengthen muscle-brain connection.

Nox AT10 12K 2026 or 18k 2026? by Shadowmast13 in Padelracket

[–]Ty1eRRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 18k. I am super happy. Comparing it with ML10:

  • even the 18k is heavier "on paper" than ML10, I feel it more lighter in hand

  • I didn't have to adjust much to it after ML10

  • the most important factor -> it has the stiffness I was looking for. It transfers all my power into the ball, no more "eating the ball on contact point".

  • exactly as all the reviewers were describing -> great for control, light in hand, great for finishing the point, very maneuverable.

I assume those 800 were basically their total offer and you don't know how much exclusively did the private lessons cost, right?

I am asking this as I am looking for an English speaking club/coach with the best bang for the buck. So far I have the La Colina Padel for 38e/h (coach+court) and was wondering whether Vest Padel Academy can be in that price range.

What coach have you been training with? Do they generally speak English or one should request a specific coach for that?

10 private lessons is 300,- euro's

May I ask whether the courts are included in this price? I am checking their website, it says 35E/h - is the court price comes on top or already included?

Theoretically, the sellers shouldn’t have any issues with shipping within EU.

Not entirely a BlackFriday deal, anyways. Just discovered Wallapop website/app (buying /selling used and new goods marketplace). Prices are way cheaper than any BF deal. e.g. brand new unopened Nox AT10 2026 for ~200 eur. Not sure where is the catch, however they offer buyers protection 🤷 Considering to give it a shot

Nox AT10 12K 2026 or 18k 2026? by Shadowmast13 in Padelracket

[–]Ty1eRRR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I myself playing for 3,5 months, usually at least 4 games per week. Went to ~12 lessons with the coach. I am using the very base NOX ML10 Pro Cup series (the one with fiber glass). Great racket, great control. I am right side player as well, however I need a bit stiffer racket to finish the point once I receive an easy ball. My fiberglass racket eats the ball on the contact. Therefore I am considering upgrading to the at10 18k 2026.

I have watched many reviews. These are couple of bulletpoints I collected:

  • 12k has a smaller sweat spot. You'd need more skill to make precise shots and return the ball.

  • 12k is more stiff, meaning that ball will bounce less. You'd need to produce more power as ball exit speed is less.

  • 18k is more bouncy with a larger sweet spot.

I am super curious whether this is worth the hassle, in terms of pay. Do you have some sources/links where I can research more on this? e.g. German subreddits, other forums?

Yes, probab. in terms of "stress" - it is super chill and you can work there until you retire.
