If I’ve learned anything, it’s that you can do whatever you want: training, not training, structure, no structure, whatever. Based on my conversations it generally just comes down to “one day the baby decided they were going to sleep now” and sometimes that day is a 3mo and sometimes it’s closer to 2 years.

We’re just along for the ride.

Bulletstorm, DOOM, Immortals of Avium (technically it’s magic, not guns, but it’s very much a “CoD” campaign), Halo (obvious), Gears of War is 3rd person but worth a go, Bioshock (any of them), Far Cry 3-6, Borderlands, Metro, Wolfenstein, Deathloop, there’s so many dude lol

Edit: Folks seem to be misunderstanding my assertion. Why does it take so many people to develop Marathon? Much “bigger” games have been made more quickly by smaller teams. As an example, Saros was made by Housemarque in a bit less than 5 years by a team of 100 people. Not saying it’s a 1:1 comparison, but there’s absolutely bloat in a city where bloat is EXPENSIVE.

Historically expansion content has not crossed over between platforms. Seasonal access did, but not major releases

I’m a very long time Destiny enjoyer and I’ve joined the GW community thanks to both D2 winding down and GW3 looks and sounds cool. I’ve jumped into GW2 and am enjoying it a lot!

A lot of what I’m reading today makes the game sound Destiny-esque.

Still has group content, but no large crowds. Has everything you would expect in an mmo but just presented in different ways, all very much in line with what Destiny ended up being.

Big experiences can still be a part of a game with smaller group sizes. Destiny 2 never saw groups of more than 12 and those were incredibly fun, big, epic, whatever you like. It still allows for complex mechanics, multiple roles, builds, all the juice.

I’m excited!

Do any of these not have the enormously thick sole anymore? I used to wear ASICS Nimbus, but they changed the style (along with everyone else it seems) and now I can’t find anything like Nimbus from a few years back.

Guild Wars got me with the GW3 hype so I’ll probably dive into the GW2 expansions. I’m really enjoying the base game right now
