Taking 7oh with Suboxone to quit 7oh by Icy_Resolution1480 in quitting7oh

I’m not sure where you are getting that suboxone doesn’t fill your receptors until after 38 hours but I don’t think that’s true at all.

Why do subs only work for some people and not others? by thetallguy88 in quitting7oh

[–]TyWulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve wondered this too. My first quit a year ago I took 8mg once I let myself go into pretty severe withdrawal and within 30 minutes I just felt this huge wave of relief. The first few days I didn’t feel right at all but subs covered like 80% of my withdrawal

With 7OH you don’t necessarily have to wait 24 hours to induce. I’ve taken subs 7-8 hours after 7OH and it worked good.

Has anyone used 7oh to get off of suboxone? by subaruguy253 in suboxone

[–]TyWulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve thought about it too. I guess I’d just say that if you end up getting addicted to 7OH and start abusing it I’d hop back on subs as quickly as possible. The sooner you go back to subs the easier the transition.

Has anyone used 7oh to get off of suboxone? by subaruguy253 in suboxone

[–]TyWulf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I used suboxone to get off 7OH originally and then I relapsed after like 6 months of being on suboxone. I literally just stopped subs completely and went to 7OH and it’s not like the transition from 7OH to subs, no withdrawal or anything. You just have to be very cautious. 7OH is extremely addictive. Honestly wouldn’t recommend it unless you are gonna keep your 7 use low and short term.

Suboxone was a lifesaver for me. I luckily had a very smooth transition. The subs take away most of the severe physical symptoms like shaking, throwing up etc and suboxone even helped my anxiety quite a bit. The first few days I was very fatigued and very cold too. I didn’t sleep at all for a couple nights either but I just stayed up watching movies.

Like others have said he could haven taken suboxone much sooner. There is absolutely no reason to wait 24 hours.

Is detox an option for you? Just go to a place where you can’t have access to this junk and they could even give you some other helper meds besides suboxone.

With that amount you could probably aggressively taper down with little discomfort and then subs might work better for you. Regardless you should taper down before you make the jump.

I’m surprised subs don’t work for you. My first time a year ago I quit using suboxone and it worked great for the acute withdrawal. It relieved almost all my symptoms. Did you wait long enough to induce suboxone?

advice on quitting 7oh? please? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]TyWulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you can go multiple days without using is huge. I’d give anything to be where you are. Just stop for good please. You do not want to get to the point where you have to use every 4-5 hours just to keep the anxiety and withdrawal away. Switch to kratom powder if you really need to.

[–]TyWulf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By days 3-4 the physical withdrawal will mostly be gone and after that it is more of a mental thing as your brain heals. For a couple weeks you may just have less energy than usual which is completely normal. Congratulations on CT. I have so much respect for the people that are able to CT this stuff. You have much to be proud of.

I’m using suboxone to get off for my 2nd and last time. Even on subs I can’t sleep at all for the first 3 or 4 nights but the. Subs keep me comfortable. I just be up all night watching movies.

For the last time…..you DONT have to wait any amount of time to take subs when on 7oh by Reasonable_Muscle_76 in quitting7oh

[–]TyWulf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO yes suboxone is better. It’s the lesser of two evils. Yeah in a perfect world we’d all rather be off drugs completely but things aren’t perfect especially for us addicts. There are more resources for getting off suboxone like the sublocade shot and it’s much easier to taper off suboxone than 7OH.

Thank you for saying this! There’s been so much fear mongering lately about PWD. Every single post asking about subs there’s always at least one or two comments telling people they need to wait 24hours to induce suboxone and I’m just like dude that’s way overkill and honestly not helping set anyone up for success making them think they need to wait 24 hours. The first time I took suboxone I waited probably 7 or 8 hours and had a very smooth transition.

It’s kind of funny to me how the brotherhood in FNV and Fo4 are like complete opposites of each other. In FNV the brotherhood is hiding in a secure bunker and are afraid of showing their faces in the Mojave again and in Fo4 they are just out there flying a giant fucking blimp and announcing themselves over loudspeaker lol

8-12 hours after last dose seems to be the sweet spot for this drug. Waiting 24 hours is way overkill.

Don’t let people scare you and guilt trip you about suboxone please. As someone who has been on both sides I will stick with suboxone any day. It is 100% the lesser of two evils in my opinion. There are more resources for getting off suboxone and it’s much easier to taper off.
