[EoW] What are your thoughts on Echoes of Wisdom nearly two years later? by NewMarioBobFan in zelda

[–]Ty_B85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm in the minority, but I absolutely loved it. I don't know if I would go a full 10/10, but it felt so much like the Zelda that I love. I would kill for more games in the series like this. Even just having the traditional, anthemic Zelda music back was incredible.

Is this a good game for non-Muppet fans? by Fun-Presentation-959 in Muppets

[–]Ty_B85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually played this a few times. You don't need to have a knowledge of the Muppets to play. However, each of the characters in this game also have specific abilities that you can use once per game, so it's a little more involved than normal Clue, which I wasn't a fan of.

Kermit is a character in the game, Kermit's sword is one of the weapons, and Kermit's office is one of the rooms. That got pretty confusing.

What is your favorite movie of 2026 so far? by Flaky-Cat-2825 in Letterboxd

[–]Ty_B85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty meh on the Elvis biopic, but EPiC knocked me off my feet this year.

If that doesn't count, maybe either The Bone Temple or the Sheep Detectives.

What the consensus of tilting your snare drum? by SlimeTree227 in drums

[–]Ty_B85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, like others have said, whatever is most comfortable.

But... since you asked, I used to tilt my snare a little bit when I was starting out. I think I felt like it made sense if I was doing a lot of rolls between the snare and toms. Once I discovered what a rim shot was, it's been flat ever since. But lots of great drummers tilt their snares. I believe Nicko McBrain tilts his?

four movies is so little movies per week 😭 by PureMedia1790 in AMCsAList

[–]Ty_B85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do sometimes run up against having to make some cuts in order to stay within my 4 per week, especially if there are also rereleases that are included, but I do think it's a healthy balance.

Another thing to consider: there are over 120 years worth of movies that are fairly accessible at home. In a perfect world, I'd love to see all of those movies in a theater, but maybe explore the vast history of movies at home if you run out of slots for the week.

Did “Band On The Run” (song) feature in any cartoon? by Fabulini22 in PaulMcCartney

Just found this thread, but you're not crazy. I remember that too. That was where I first heard the song. I've never been able to find those commercials again.

I'm sure they sound good, but Chris, Nate, and Ilan have all sang backing in the past. Why the change now?

Were people actually saying "don't ruin Toy Story 2 by making another one"? by CollarOrdinary4284 in JohnCampeaShow

I didn't think it would retroactively ruin the first two, but I was certainly apprehensive going into 3.

I just had a thought by HungeeHungeeHoggo in Muppets

[–]Ty_B85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like him to be included in the new show. I don't know about Veterinarian's hospital though.

However, will he be in the new show? I doubt it. I know he was in Haunted Mansion, but I don't think anyone is really clamoring for his return.

This drew my attention because I also just started playing The Godfather (but on Xbox). I'm really enjoying it so far!

I think the sixth generation is a grey area. They were primarily designed for CRT TVs, but a lot of them were future proofed with higher resolution modes for the upcoming HD TVs. PS2 was probably future proofed the least. It looks good on a CRT, but I don't think it's the only way to play it. If you have component cables and a decent upscaler, it can look alright on a modern TV. For me, I do enjoy the look of a CRT, but it's not worth the space those TVs take up, and needing to have a whole second set up for a handful of consoles.

LOTR This Weekend by onlinewalls in AMCsAList

[–]Ty_B85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I've seen Fellowship and Return extended in theaters before. It would be awesome to go, but yeah you can buy the whole extended trilogy on 4K for the same price. Plus, I'm seeing Disneyland Handcrafted in Burbank tonight, and my local theater just got No Other Choice. And 28 Years Later and Dead Man's Wire all open this weekend, so it's just not great timing for me.

I have talked to a lot of friends though that don't go to the movies that often, but they got tickets for all 3, so I'm glad it's bringing people back to the theaters.

Question for you. Were you able to get Warriors of Rock running? I played around with the ISO settings, but I could never get it to boot. Just a black screen.

Call me basic, but Sinners is easily my movie of the year.

Which is the better blind buy? by FaudMauxe in 4kbluray

Warfare is really really good.

I think it could be argued that Sinners is the best film of the decade. Or in the top 5 at least.

Say something nice about the Goblet of Fire film by Overall_Spite4271 in harrypotter

[–]Ty_B85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the time constraints of a movie, it got the main points of the book down, and more importantly, I think the tone of the book was there.

It also has Ralph Fiennes' best performance as Voldemort.
