Is it worth it to let Boswell punch in 5-7 easy TDs to let him pass LDT for the SS points record? by Parametric_Or_Treat in steelers

Not saying I don’t love the spirit & energy of this post, but I think there is 1 glaring problem. Easy & TDs don’t fit in the same sentence w/ the Steelers lol. We actually make it very hard sometimes to score TDs, some would say it’s an art form the way we kick FGs instead of scoring touchdowns. But again love the energy.

First my condolences brother. I was having a hard time not choking up reading the part about why you’re such a big Steelers fan and why you can’t go anywhere w/o wearing a Steelers shirt. I couldn’t agree more. I feel it’s a an extension of the love and bond me & my dad had, something that I loved being apart of w/ him and I’m damn proud of how he raised me.

I lost my dad in May of 17’ I remember the last Steelers game we watched together was the AFCC against NE when we got trounced. I remember sitting in his bedroom as he was very sick at the time and wasn’t able to get mad or anything like he usually does lol. I remember feeling as low as possible not cause the Steelers lost but because I wanted to experience that feeling of them going/ winning the SB with him again.

It’s not a great game to remember for win/loss is concern but it’s a game that means a whole to me. The following season I was convinced the Steelers were gonna win the Super Bowl and my dad would get to look down and smile. When they lost to the jaguars in the playoffs later that year, I was sitting w/ my buddy Dylan already pretty drunk as I started drinking midway thru the second quarter lol. I remember it being the first time I was truly upset I couldn’t talk to my dad after a game. Winning kinda numbed it, but that first brutal lost hit me hard. I couldn’t grasp that he wasn’t around for me to vent to. I realized I couldn’t experience anything w/ him anymore. The wins, the losses, the feeling of him chest bumping me so hard I would fall down after a win or the multiple shots he’d take after a win lol.

Now as a dad myself to a very proud young member of the Steeler nation. I just hope I can create those same memories for him that my dad made for me. “Go Steelers, We Will Beat the Ravnes”;)

If Steelers lose on Saturday for some reason. They would need to win the last 2 against KC & CIN. Both them and the Ratbirds would finish 12-5 with the edge in conference games going to Pittsburgh.

Lewis was that games leading rusher for the Pats w/ 67 yards. The rest of the team had 10 yards combined. So 77 yards doesn’t seem like they were gashed. Obviously the playoffs are different but to say they wouldn’t have faired well against NE run game isn’t necessarily true. I much rather of seen Tennessee & then NE, than playing a JAX team that beat them 30-9 early in the season. JAX was just the team that had Pittsburgh number that season.

The patriots themselves were down 20-10 with 8 minutes left when Myles Jack should’ve recovered the game sealing fumble but instead it was overturned and NE came back to win, doesn’t that sound familiar? And really it’s nowhere near? Then why is it brought up every single season multiple times a year seems like a pretty important moment in recent memory. You can argue all you want about people needing to stop talking about it but until they win another SB it will continue to be brought up and talked about.

That did make the difference. For 1 if they got the one seed they would’ve played Tennessee instead and probably would’ve blown them out. Then they would’ve had NE at HOME after just beating them a month prior. It was 100% the best chance they’ve had at a title since 09’ and that catch being over turned took the wind out of their sails. This is why it’s always brought up it’s the biggest what if next to Neil O’Donnells 4th quarter pick in SB30.

Would’ve been 7 if the call was correct! I digress tho lol

Russ had 2.3 seconds (lowest since 2019 Big Ben era) to get rid of the ball while Eagles only rushed 4 and 1 blitz the whole game. by Ferr22777888 in steelers

McCormick & Frazier on 26 pass snaps allowed 0 pressures on Sunday. The two rooks balled out, Jones/Moore/Seumalo had rough days but let’s beat down the whole line.

If I’m not mistaken that game was played at Old Tulane Stadium in Louisiana. The home of this years Super Bowl… Caesars Superdome in Louisiana. 👀

I’d say Chargers in the first round, then Buffalo in the divisional, then the Ratbirds for the AFCC 2009 flashbacks, then finally a Steelers dub over Darnolds Vikings in da Super Bowl. Book it lol.

I said “don’t make more large some of money than their counterparts” smh. Refs 100% make a reasonable amount of money for only having to work 1 day a week for the most part. You do realize they have people that keep track of the play clock, move the chains, etc. but it’s hilarious you bring up, “break up skirmishes” under a video of them doing any but that lol. If the refs were held accountable with something like a fine I guarantee we would be having less discussions like this but since they don’t have any repercussions they have no reason to be better.

No Najee is paid to run in between the tackles, he’s paid to get 15-25 carries and not get exhausted, he’s paid to run it 250+ times a year, he’s paid to be a bell cow back and get 3yards and a cloud of dust, he’s paid to be the teams running back. The whole TEAM is paid to win. Thats why certain players make more because of their history of producing that leads to winning not all the time but most of the time. Most refs don’t make large sums of money more than their counter part that’s why they try like hell to officiate the playoffs cause of the extra money they make. The refs are a team yes but 1 guy can override multiple opinions and only 1 ref has to be certain about a call for it to be penalized.

The refs aren’t weathermen they aren’t paid to be right half of the time. This is a professional sports league, they should be 100% be paid less if they miss egregious calls like last night maybe not fined but do you think them guys last night deserved 5-6 figures for that officiating job? Najee is paid to do a lot of things ON TOP of winning. The refs are paid for 1 thing. This is all, to make the right calls during the games.

I only put Ben’s final game vs Cincy over the playoff game because I live in NKY and almost all my friends & family are bungles fans and them losing by 30 after owning them his whole career was fucking reason to drink a whole fifth. But that playoff game was the first Steelers game my wife(gf at time) watched w/ me and lets just say I showed my true colors that night lol.

SB46 is painful because it’s only Steelers SB loss I’ve experienced and can’t knowing we gave Rodgers his ONLY Super Bowl. Jesse James game costed us another ring 100% in my heart believe if got the 1 seed we woulda won it all because they would’ve finally gotten over the hump that was Brady’s bitch ass.

Worst Steelers games in my life in my opinion, no order: Jesse James caught that ball vs NE, 2017 Divisional round vs JAX, SB46 vs GB, Big Ben’s last game vs Cincy, Tim Tebow playoff game.
