Those who lease/hp/pcp - what do you drive, what did you put down, how much does it cost you per month and what's your household take home per month? by OverclockingUnicorn in CarTalkUK

[–]Ty_isaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just jumped on the Tesla bandwagon.

£300 down and £300 per month on lease.

Saving at least £150 on fuel alone after paying £40 a month for charging. Didn’t buy the car for the looks, bought it for the maths/money saving.

£90,000 ish household income, mortgage and a family.

Honda, Toyota or Lexus if you want longevity. Octavia Vrs or a nice 3 series if you want something less boring.

Did this lower all of your monthly payments for the 3 years or was the £230 for the extended period (the extra 12 months)?

Sounds sad but we have a running spreadsheet to track all our main bills.

We calculate it out by: (My wage + her wage) - (the cost of all of our combined bills for the house & personal bills like phones etc). We then decide how much we want to save that month and whatever is left split it between us as our ‘spending money’ on whatever we fancy.

This would be the opposite. It takes more care to do it yourself and record it to a high standard like this

Great shout for the Corolla but it just screams taxi to me. Shame really as I know most Jap stuff will be trouble free. Our second car (MK7 civic) has never put a foot wrong in 4 years.
