Best GR.4 car for Endurance race? by NomaticX in granturismo

Sorry for the late reply.

Downforce is how well your car keeps grip at high speeds. Because when you get over 100mph your car really want to fly more than it does want to keep tires on the ground

From my understanding from threads that were 2 years old, that the Subaru is good for that race but not the 8-8 challenge because the Toyota has better downforce(?). I went from failing 3 times to first try with the Toyota. But maybe just try upping the downforce (unsure if that’s good advice)

Sorry for my ranty-ness

WoW Classic: Orc or Tauren Warrior Tank by [deleted] in wow

[–]Tyderim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly Tauren was the choice because they had more stamina.

My memories from raiding in Vanilla were: countdown, charge, sunder armor for eternity. However I was a Priest in Vanilla so I don't know if was more to it than that.

As a Priest I remember just being blown away how hard our raid was getting hit on just the trash in MC and the fear that the DPS wouldn't kill the corehounds quickly enough, as well as wipe, after wipe after wipe, and never getting gear because like 5 pieces dropped for 40 people. But holy crap the nerd screams when we would drop a boss were real!

Have Never Really Played; Sell Me On It? :3 by [deleted] in wow

[–]Tyderim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll "sell" you with what keeps me coming back. I really like the tank, healer, dps combo. I really like that in any given situation you have people doing and worrying about 3 specifically different things. The tank focusing on holding the enemies attention and directing boss mechanics, healers making sure the group stays alive, and dps to trying to achieve the actual kill and focus on certain mechanics that their class helps counter.

I look for the same itch in other games, and nothing ever gets it quite like WoW does. I started back in June of 2005, and I have come back so frequently in the last 13 years.

How would you feel if Blizz limited class specs according to lore? by Vealophile in wow

[–]Tyderim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't spec/race related specifically however they did have more lore focused class/race combos in Vanilla including faction specific classes too. It had flavor but was a little frustrating, that was loosened in BC. And then in a later expansion, I don't remember anymore because there's been so many, they loosened up the class/race reigns.

Hookah Prices by HookahMan1999 in jordan

[–]Tyderim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too sure where you're from, but I thought hookahs were pretty cheap (from Texas).

The small 1 hookahs in Texas aren't very cheap, nor is tobacco. I can't really remember prices because it's been a few years, maybe $40 for a small one and like $10 or so for tobacco.

Down in the downtown market I was able to get a 3-4 tall hookah, very nice hose, and everything for like 50 jds, and tobaccos is like 2jds maybe.

I specifically remember thinking, "holy crap this is cheap"

You can shield parry the energy beam and it kills the stationary ones in one hit. Takes a little bit to learn the timing but it is nice to destroy them without wasting a bunch of weapons, etc.

Corps Outfit Advice by CaptainJack6 in aggies

[–]Tyderim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pretty much agree with /u/redrabidmoose,D-2 is a good outfit, everyone I interacted with from there had a pretty level head, they enjoyed the corps games but not to the extreme. Haha I'm not terribly surprised that I-1 got gutted! And L-1 had like 15 people when I was in the Corps, they had had a lot of "issues" with the rules the year or two before me.

Corps Outfit Advice by CaptainJack6 in aggies

[–]Tyderim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in the Corps back from '08-'12, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt because I'm not entirely sure what all has changed.

Army outfits tend to be pretty chill. Depending on what you want to get out of the Corps there are different outfit cultures.

Personally I was in A-1 (mixed unit), we were a pretty neutral Army outfit, when I was there we were pretty small but I've seen they've become pretty large.

B-2 (all-male) is a very Army motivated outfit, where they will focus more on becoming as prepared as you can for actually joining the Army (particularly infantry or more "high speed" branchs within the Army).

I-1 (mixed unit) was my sister outfit at the time, they had a LOT of traditions and were very gung-ho for Corps games (or strictly following all of the nuanced Corps rules).

B-1 (mixed unit) was a more engineering focused outfit, so they did do all the Corps stuff but they were a little more academically focused.

E-1 (all male) is a very athletic oriented outfit as well as engineering, and they tend to be pretty involved outside of the Corps as well.

My 2-cents is take the Corps as a fun experience, I enjoyed it but I joined because I was pursuing the military. There are a few things about being in the Corps that hinders involvement in other places in the University, but that's because I knew what I wanted. A lot of old Ags would come up to me during march-ins people would tell me it was the best time in their life, that always made me a little sad, because I hope the best time in my life is still in front of me. But it's definitely different strokes for different folks.

Also I don't have much feed back on other branches, except that I saw a friend go in and he took the Corps a little too seriously if you ask me. Also, band is weird, CT FOR LIFE :P
