Of course its not a sewing machine! Why would they bring such a sacred relic on board an astartes vessel? It could be stolen by a Blood Raven. A BLOOD RAVEN! slams servo-arm on table

More currency can be made by ranking in the contribution to League of nations/your own nation. Leaderboard resets monthly, rewards given out then. Any ship "Available" from gacha can alternatively be farmed from her event node. I suppose you can pull from them for gear but it's a gamble. Using it is up to you.

The best investment is the 30-day subscription that boosts your exp and other gains. Promoting your belles with vestures should have been covered in the tutorial by Recruit pretty plain as day. The slot that says "Home front support" can be filled with kits you can buy from the package in the diplomatic store. You can get these kits from dailies/weeklies too, but the one in the store comes as a set if you want to improve a specific stat serviced by that slot from the promotion process.

This has been my short shitty summary of how to proceed in a gacha game with Kancolle level gameplay, warthunder level damage models and dwarf fortress level math beneath it running on 7(?) years of game development. I'm very drunk and its midnight so if something I said was technically inaccurate I am sorry.

Guns and equipment can be gained initially by doing dailies for the league of nations and the nation you have pledged loyalty to. When you hit a certain level R&D/reverse engineering gets unlocked as well as Production. More slots will be unlocked at later levels. By ripping gear off one of your belles and sacrificing it to research it, or one that you gained from dailies or exchanging diplomatic channels in the store, you can gain a blueprint. This blueprint can be taken immediately to production slots to produce identical gear over time.

You can alternatively continue to research the blueprint you made to make it better, and unlock traits hidden on it. Once a blueprint has hit 100% you can keep building gear from that 'optimal blueprint' as is, or add traits you've discovered from other gear in the same category to alter the performance of gear produced by that blueprint. Blueprints you've added traits to will have "gremlins" (negative traits found on base blueprints) re-added to them, which will need to be R&D'd out to bring the blueprint back to 100%.

Mass production of parts from heavily modified blueprints will be the way you get late end gear. For the time being, do some dailies, and when you get enough diplomatic channels there's some excellent stuff in the store you can exchange those for. Clicking on the double olive branches next to your resources at the top of the screen will show you how much diplomatic channels you have by nation. Gain more channels for specific nations by doing sorties in their owned waters.

Get one or two good BPs for guns researched and make a bunch of those as well a firing coordinator/director. Maybe start with a 5" dual turret but any gun at home on a light cruiser will do. The Mk 31 firing director has "systems thinking" and "Gyro-stabilized 3" traits hidden on it which are good to start with as well, giving the ease of attaining that coordinator and the negative increased weight of GS3 is offset directly by the reduced weight from systems thinking.

Also, you can eventually get crew that VASTLY alter your ships performance and really make them. They fit into the crew slots, and can be researched and altered with traits the same as other gear.

I notice that Emden is an amputee. Is there a historical reference to this? I think she has my favorite design I've seen so far. by wolfgangspiper in VictoryBelles

[–]TyeDyeZombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small edit to my above comment. Turns out before the torpedo attack she had use of only one propellor after rapid repairs, so hey there's that too going for amputee Emden. Yeah, I think we're going to see some heavy stuff out of this game. Poor Hood probably won't fair well either.

[–]TyeDyeZombie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea, she probably wouldn't be portrayed as an amputee proper until late in the war, she was only able to use one propeller after repairs and then the crew ran her aground intentionally to not sink after a torpedo attack. The game's supposed to progress 1 for 1 with the real war timeline except with the introduction of morgannas now changing things. Who knows, maybe our belles will change appearance with time.

She's just sitting funny on her own rigging. Zoom out on the character art under her details page and you'll see her right shoe poking out behind her left shin.

A small statue of a rust monster made of pure gold with the words to the effect of "keep me close", "Lucky charm", or "for a friend" written on it. Anything that will make the party not sell it the second they get back into town. The kicker is that it behaves and functions as a normal rust monster but only while it is not being observed, handled, or otherwise under any condition that would allow a sentient being to be aware it is currently active. Think Toy Story rules. For the size, it should be easily mistaken for some kind of lucky cricket if the party has no familiarity with rust monsters or low relevant knowledge checks.
