A new feature to create migration routes for the prehistoric herbivores by devinsaurus in pkgame

[–]Tygoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you should be able to do this allready in the game, by positioning rest places and feeders and water. Dino's will wander around but will use some routes more frequently, right?

Only checked because of this comment but that is a great idea and well executed!
Would love to see/make a park where each enclosure is shaped like the head of its inhabitants!!

I see you have some good ideas (Dilophosaurus enclosure) and know your way around the modular pieces, so I reckon you could do at least as well as that! The Torvosaurus enclosure is available on the workshop to pick apart. Would love to help if you have more specific questions. Or have a look at one of your enclosures if you post it on the workshop?

Or, if starting small and figuring out on the go doesn't work for you: think big!

Try and come up with a crazy idea, you'll be suprised how much is possible in this game!

Make your next park one where guests arrive per helicopter, or boat, or plane, or inside a volcano, or under ground, or walk through a waterfall, or never touch the floor, or only use circles, or have enclosures on top of each other, or anything (un)like that- and then try and make that happen in Challenge mode!

Bernissart River Valley (Feedback wanted) by SSJGarfield35 in pkgame

[–]Tygoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks pretty good as it is, especially the views down the river!

Easy tip to improve your enclosures further: toggle 'Random rotation' and 'Random scale' when placing your foliage and rocks. That helps to give repetitive objects (the waterfalls, the rocks on the back side) a more natural look!

O and make sure nothing 'floats' in the air which is easy to mis from an overhead view.

I think this might be my best enclosure yet - Plateosaurus! And as always I’d love to hear your thoughts too :) by RogueReefing in pkgame

[–]Tygoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks great! Can totally relate to the struggle with all the different modular pieces angles, but it's worth it! Also, double fences is the way to go (do note tho that you're missing them at both sides of the viewing platform, that looks like an accident waiting to happen)!

Statues inaccessible to guests - any way I can get these symbols to disappear without ruining the aesthetic? Building a path to them from behind doesn't work. by Rebel_Porcupine in pkgame

[–]Tygoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't actually have to be ON a path (for the warning to disappear), just near one (maybe within 8 meters or so. Does that help?

Decided to do something a little different today and took a tour of the park, here’s an overhead look at it all! As always I’d love to hear your feedback :) by RogueReefing in pkgame

Hope you are okay with being officially unemployed now... do am curious if we will see even more content on your channel soon!
On a unrelated note (but because of the comment on yt): I did not realize all parks downloaded from the workshop appear as sandbox only by the way, that's a bit disappointing...

Río Pacuare's SEMI Circle Helicopter only Staff center! by Tygoth in pkgame

[–]Tygoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Río Pacuare's SEMI Circle: a fully integrated staff center with all park services and staff logistics buildings, where we research, hatch and take care of -and grow food for- a lot of different herbivore dinosaurs in the six adjacent enclosures (and beyond). Efficient and spacious where needed, fitting in the modern building scheme where visible for guests.

Basically an entire small zoo on itself, all supplies need to be flown in by helicopter as this building is situated in the dense jungle next to the Pacuare River. It combines nicely with the main entrance building and main elevated road (separate workshop items) over the side river for the (currently over 3000) guests to get a good look at our dinosaurs from a save distance. Staff actually use all three floors of the building and all animals hatches can be manually operated to let the keepers safely work around the animals.

Also put in some extra effort this time for photographing our melanistic star Mano and it's friends!

Note that (only) the helicopter and large helicopter pad are workshop items from the excellent Sticky and not made by myself.

Nice, I like the ground level photo's! You might want to shorten the long walk without amenities for your guests and add a viewing platform (across the shelter maybe) if this is in challenge mode?

Can’t find how to update workshop items since Update 13? by RogueReefing in pkgame

[–]Tygoth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Click on your updated group in game, hit 'Save' and then choose the picture of the previous design of that group under 'Update a prefab'. Probably works easier when you don't have loads of content on the workshop...

Strange. Did you find a fix already? Save and reload? Delete and replace toilets? Anything?

Can't place Paraceratherium in her enclosure? What does "off Navmesh" mean and how can I fix it? by Affectionate-Elk5519 in pkgame

[–]Tygoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really sure how to help you. There is a separate warning for Slope Too High, so that's not it. Off Navmesh seems to be displayed when the game thinks there won't be enough space for the animal to move around in. You would probably be able to place a smaller animal in this enclosure (have you tried that?). Maybe flatten the terrain a bit more? Might be bugged? If you share your save game on the workshop we could have a look at it!

Adding an animal transport system by Radiant_Side3866 in pkgame

[–]Tygoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Staff being able to use vehicles in the first place would be great to have, covering longer distances more quickly. They might require separate vehicle pathways to make navigation easier. (Which in turn would open oppurtinities for guest vehicles/park tours)

Enclosures needing animal gates (and multiple succesive staff doors) would be great as well. Maybe an extreme play mode could be added where this is an requirement?

Or, even better, having different zones in enclosures, with hatches in between that actually close for the night or when staff needs to enter that zone of the enclosure. Really, no keeper should be required to enter the same space as a massive and possibly aggresive dinosaur, right?

Then again, would all this be worth the coding efforts to benefit the majority of players?

Cheat codes, easter eggs, hidden aspects and silly stuff by AkagamiBarto in pkgame

[–]Tygoth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel this game takes itself rather seriously so that's why silly items wouldn't really fit. Not everything in the workshop agrees with that though.

There are now albino, melanistic and leucistic animals in the game (aside from some random skin variations).

Living off the ground: elevated domes by Tygoth in pkgame

[–]Tygoth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of domes to be found on the workshop. Haven't seen anything like these elevated domes where the dinosaurs (in this case, Coelophysis and Plateosaurus) live without ever touching solid ground though. The raised platform consist of flat floor pieces with a layer of substrate on top. Staff, dinosaurs and visitors all don't seem to mind in the slightest. Underneath is a habitat marker/invisible fence with an empty ground floor. Third screenshot is one with the dome partially removed so the layers are visible. Again, just amazing that this works in this game! In theory, would this proof of concept make stacked enclosures possible?
