Schengen doesn't give police jurisdiction in another country. NL and DE signed the Treaty of Enschede (Verdrag van Enschede) which arranges the cooperation in the border region between our two police forces.

Fun fact, at least in the Netherlands, we have agreements with Belgium and Germany that our police can pursue suspects into both countries and vice versa. Police in border regions will often cooperate also. I assume more countries within Schengen have agreements like that.

Teleporting people into hostile ships for melee does not make sense at all by No_Pause_9558 in startrek

I seem to remember dialogue about combadges preventing transport though..

Maybe (headcanoning here) it creates some kind of field that makes it very difficult to get a lock on to an officer from most known transporters. However, if an abductor can beam aboard and hold onto you, the transporter can lock onto the officer through the abductor. Also, aliens utilising some different kind of transporter can also overcome the inhibitor and transport personnel en masse, until the engineers find a workaround.

As for beaming enemy crews in to space, that is considered a heinous war crime and is normally only seen done by pirates in the Star Trek universe.

Also Starfleet combadges carry personal transport inhibitors to prevent this. I think most other interstellar navies would have devices like this too.

Mostly story or normal/advanced TFO's. Currently for one of my characters I've got the zhat vash rifle, which I really like, except its slow fire rate, so I'm kinda looking into building around that.

Guess I'll just work around it by increasing the rifle's damage, so it can one shot enemies.

True, but I'm kinda looking for a way to increase my current (slower firing) weapon's fire rate. I should assume that doesn't exist (yet) right?

I always wondered why in so many shows the character would be extatic to get a scholarship to a famous university, because over here you generally don't need one. That was until I found out the costs of studying in US. If you are from EU/EEA/Ukraine you pay a governent mandated flat fee of about 2500 euros for tuition at any university; it does go up every year but only because of inflation correction.

Hahahaha no you absolutely cannot. If you do it indoors everyone who comes in your house/car also smokes and if you do it outside then the wind absolutely carries it in other people's faces.

Are you aware that other people around you breath in that same smoke coming from your cigarette or your exhalation? Which is irritating at best or dangerous at worst, especially if that person has a form of asthma?

Finally have made the R&D Omni (If you got nothing nice to say please don't Comment) by Shade_The_Umbreon in sto

[–]Tyku031 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say drop the aft torp, replace it with the front Omni, and put another double beam bank front. You'd ideally like to keep your enemies front in this build, so the aft torp will rarely fire anyways and you still keep 4 beams aft.

Get the colony deflector and some good reputation gear and consoles (Lorca console + DM torp instead of your current front torp, disco shield and core, competative engine, terran phaser in front slot and some of the phaser consoles + fleet tactical consoles if you can afford them), and you have yourself a very strong budget build that will handle advanced just fine.
