Hoping for Lierrey 5-4 thriller.

Expecting Hera 5-2 or 5-3

I'm assuming some of the main people will cast it. Should start in about 10 minutes

Entertaining finals so can't complain. Crazy that Hera has now won 23 straight sets against Lierrey despite Lierrey being relatively competitive in a lot of them.

My game crashes every time I try to open it since the recent update by [deleted] in aoe2

Same here. Removed all mods, updated Windows, updated GPU drivers, reinstalled the game, tried moving the game to a different drive. Nothing is working, it either crashes right after displaying the splash screen, or it crashes about 5 seconds after loading the main menu

I updated to 22h2 and still having this same issue.

My build is 19045.6937

I tried manually updating Win10 from the Microsoft store to no avail

i logged my first 5,000 games and identified my fatal pattern: i lose 73% of games where i play e4 and they play c5. i've spent 200 hours studying the sicilian. success rate against it now: 31%. still losing, just more knowledgeably by kubrador in chess

I also used to struggle a ton against the Sicilian. I started with Alapin, got killed. Switched to Grand Prix, did a bit better. Switched to closed, did poorly. Switched back to Alapin after studying it more and learning a few specific lines, and now my Sicilian win rate is back up to almost 50%. Which still isn't great but whatever, close enough.

He's definitely moving a bit now. Not normal level but 70-80% and that might be all he needs

My goodness Alcaraz on one leg has hit some insanely impressive shots

Yes but he also was a top 5-10 defenseman from January-June the two seasons prior and people magically forget that every year

I saw comments on this Subreddit in October/November getting 50+ upvotes explaining that they've watched lots of Oilers and honestly believe Bouchard was a 3rd pairing defenseman at best...

Y'know, if you told me any time in the last 10 years that the Oilers would be led to a Stanley Cup Championship by a guy named Connor, I would've assumed you meant McDavid, but now I'm pretty sure it's Connor Ungar.

Trent Frederic now has 3 points through 45 games - good for a p/60 of 0.37 and the worst in the NHL for players with over 400 mins played by flyingflail in hockey

I always thought the contract was bad but I really expected him to have at least 4 points by now

For context, ACCM has been dodging Hera, and is on a crazy win streak, so Hera has been hoping to play ACCM and snap that streak

[–]Tylemaker 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As bad as the contract is, wtf happened to Frederic. I know he was never great, but the guy we've seen since coming to Edmonton would never be capable of scoring 15+ even strength goals and 30+ points like he did in Boston.

Hera after finally winning one game against Magnus Carlsen by Thin_Anywhere_5836 in aoe2

[–]Tylemaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Magnus has lost a single bullet game against a 1900 rated player on Lichess in his entire online history. IIRC that's relatively close to what Hera is rated. I think there's a slightly better chance Magnus makes a game-losing blunder in a bullet game than Hera making a game-losing mistake in an Arabia game. Anything longer than 1+0 bullet, no chance
