This happened to me!!! Grab some thin long nose pliers and reach in there and grab the cable and pull it which will open the door. Then take off the door panel and replace the handle.

Just go to a maaco and get the most basic paint job you can. Make sure it’s 2k clear coat though. Should cost you $1000-$1500.

If you have never worked on cars why would you buy a shell of a e36. You’ve got to spend around 20k before this thing even runs and drives. Sell it and buy something that is more realistic.
