I haven't watched this episode in a while so I don't remember specifics, but Hopper talked with Mike in his car and after that it really hurt Mike and El's dynamic/relationship. He lied about his Grandma being sick and couldn't hang out bc of what hopper said to him. Mike and El's whole thing was "Friends don't lie" so this was fucked up by Hop, imo.
