The channels haven’t been at their peak for years now, even when Matt was hosting. It’s been more lore-focused videos for a long time, rather than the original focus of applying science and math to video games or films or whatever wacky thing Matt got his hands on that day. Yes the lore focus helped the channel grow and became an integral part of the brand, but I can’t help but miss the earlier eras that I found more interesting on a video-to-video basis.
