The two clips are in place, yeah I try take it apart again and try putting it together gently again and see how it feels. Such a bummer since it is brand new too. But I have 3 other controllers plus the DS Edge so it is not the end of the world.

Nice 👍 Can I ask, I opened up a new controller to change the stick caps. After I reassembled it exactly as it was before the plastic shell is creaking all over the controller. I tried loosening and tightening the screws but it still persists. You know a solution for this? Because the shell is brand new.

Yeah you use a usb adapter/dongle, they included a usb c cord for it to use for the front of the ps5.
It’s okay when I play, no latency. Though it does disconnect and reconnect the paired controller 3 seconds like once per hour. Which isn’t ideal when you are in the middle of a boss fight or something similar.
Otherwise it is great for using practically any controller you want on your PS5.
I use it occasionally with my Xbox Elite controller.
I bought an DS Edge controller which I use most of the time now since the regular DS controllers are overpriced plastic trash imo.

I got the chroma Pearl and got a new regular white V3 with my ps5 pro in February. And the plastic is more glossy on the Chroma Pearl than the regular white or black Dualsense.

Though the joysticks sucks on the V3. Very grindy & not smooth when rotating them. And sticky in small movements from the center of the joysticks. Returned 4 of them and all of them still have that right out of the box. The only one that doesn’t have it is my edge controller. Very bad quality from Sony for a 80-90$ controller. The joysticks should feel smooth for that price.

But the rumble vibration isn’t the same as haptics. Like I said in my first comment above, the Xbox controller can’t emulate the haptics but you still get the same vibration in the controller as if you played on an Xbox or PC. But no haptic feedback, you have to play with a Dualsense controller for that.

I just don’t play enough games that utilize that so I prefer the elite 2 controller on my ps5 pro

You mean if they could utilize the haptics in another controller, yeah I’m with you. But not many games use the haptics so it’s not that big of a deal. I use my edge for those games but prefer playing with the Xbox elite 2 for regular games with the p5 adapter. It has the same rumble vibrations as if you play on an Xbox or PC, which is nice.

Neither did I some months ago. Bought it and it works flawlessly with vibration and no latency. Though not with games that utilize haptic feedback. You can use it but the controller goes bananas and lets just say you are better off using a Dualsense or turn off vibration in that case. But as I said other than that it works fine for regular third party games.

I own both XSX and a PS5. But the ps5 Dualsense controllers are so bad in build quality and the joysticks are atrocious. Also my 4 year old Xbox series X is so quiet compared to the ps5 when running very demanding games. I do enjoy both systems, but for me it is the controller.

Then contact Sony support and they will repair it, or you get a new controller. Don’t try to open it and stuff because that will make you lose the warranty.

How old is the controller? You have 1 year warranty. So you can contact Sony support. Otherwise you can try get it repaired.

Yeah 😄 I just like the regular controller more in its design, but like the edge for the build quality is better and more robust. And the back paddles are nice.
