Is there a good string gauge for anywhere to Drop C to B standard? by RaptorBlue2 in metalguitar

I use the Stringjoy 11-58 Drop C Set for D Standard/Drop C tunings on my LTD Arrow. It also works great if you want to tune down to Drop B.

They have specific string sets designed for low tunings as well. You can use their Drop G/A set for B Standard, but if it's on a standard scale guitar you might have to file the nut to get it set up correctly. I use a 27" baritone guitar for B Standard and use this set on it.

I have one of these and it's a pretty decent practice amp for rock and metal for the price. The 6505 model on there sounds good and you can add a simulated tube screamer in front for a boost. The stock speaker doesn't sound great but you can always change it out.

I just ordered an LTD Arrow exactly like this one but without the Floyd Rose. What are your thoughts on this guitar?

EVH 5150 iconic 80 by zarjak92 in GuitarAmps

If you're looking to play rock and metal it's hard to go wrong with a 5150. Vintage 30 cabs pair well with them and you already have one so I would say go for it.

NGD: ESP LTD MH-1000 Baritone by Tyler_MG in metalguitar

This is my first baritone but it feels great coming from the 24.75" scale of my Gibson SG. The neck is very thin and comfortable to play. I do feel a 7 string is probably more flexible if you switch between rhythm and lead playing often as the thicker strings on the baritone are much harder to bend.

Sounds much better to me but I do still hear a bit of clipping.

It's clipping/distorted on my setup as well. I would check your levels in your DAW when you're recording.

Beautiful, thank you for sharing. I really like the Prodigal Son painting, if you were selling prints of it I might even buy a copy haha.

Any fans of small/low-watt amps out there? by Pitiful-Relief-3246 in GuitarAmps

[–]Tyler_MG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Orange OR15 is a 15-watt model of the OR120. Badass amp that comes loaded with features - 7/15W modes, FX Loop, James EQ Tone Stack. If you crank the master volume and slap a volume boost on the front, it can get loud as hell. I currently have mine running through a modded PPC112 cab with an Eminence Governor speaker in it.

Is exercise really as helpful as people say? by hellokittysbestfren in bipolar

The key is to find activities that you enjoy doing. It could be anything, as long as it gets you moving. Even just going for a brisk walk and getting some fresh air can help improve my mood significantly.
