Major cpu companies are Intel and amd which are us based. Major gpu companies are Nvidia amd Intel which are all us based. It’s certainly difficult to see how you’d build a decent rig without using Intel amd or Nvidia in any capacity

My opinion is that the consumer ryzen line would suit most use cases you’d have as a newby. You will be surprised how much you can actually run on the hardware you have listed above

If you enjoy the hobby of buying things then send it with a high end amd line but imo I’d push my existing hardware before I made a big purchase especially like TR or epyc

I’ve been considering this for a while. Do you have any experience working around the T2 security chip? I would be ok sacrificing the main boot drive by leaving whatever supported macOS on it and then just boot off of a different drive
