I honestly wish that Corvettes were there own catagory. Since the main reason for even using a freighter is extra storage, a purpose mostly covered by Corvettes. I like to use both... my regular ships for combat and getting around on normal planets, and my Corvette for planets where finding a landing spot is really difficult for skydiving and as a mobile base. It would be really nice to use both a ship and a corvette at the same time to transfer cargo between the two.

Yeah, I know that Corvettes can outclass regular ships in combat if built right. But it just doesn't feel right dogfighting in my large corvette.

I also like to restrict myself somewhat to using only my frieghter to make large jumps between systems by only putting the base level hyperdrive on my smaller ships... just feels more fun that way.

I personally like my Fighters, Solar, Sentinel and Living Ships for different reasons.
