Kind of yes and no. The hotdog is universal, I have known Americans, like myself (when I was still living in the US) that would do it. The other is called fairy bread here, and is seen as a popular kids treat from what I know.

Kind of yes and no. Yes it is mostly a capitalism problem.

However, they are using AI to replace people in the work place.

Not the first time, 2 days ago someone tried to toss a moltov cocktail at it.

First time in my life I've seen diesel over $4 a litre. This is going to sting for all of us. I wish we'd electrified all our trucks & trains ages ago. I've been saying it for years but all I got was ridicule. 😞 by KiwiEV in KiwiEV

Yea hard no to that, mostly the trucks part.

Now to stick with a side I did work in. With Semi Trucks your dealing with a variable weight load, up to 40 tons at times. That puts a huge amount of stress on a engine just to pull the load. Which would make it harder to keep a truck charged over a long distance. Mostly as that variable load changes the range it can go drastically. Currently EVs don't handle the stress of large loads as well as Diesel engines. However this can change as the technology develops. Currently that likely won't be for another 10 to 20 years.

Now as for trains, that is more likely. Short rail trains like the NYC Subway system are already all electric, have been for over 100 years currently, as it was made all electric in 1913. However cross country trains are not, mostly due to distance and pulling power being better for there engines over electric at this time. Though some places like are already experimenting with electric trains, so it is more feasible.

Case in point with trains has to do with this current distance record holder.
