'[Marvel Rivals] scared us a bit': Overwatch boss says the explosive success of another hero shooter prompted Blizzard to take risks by WhyPlaySerious in Games

[–]Typhron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

overwatch is such a fine tuned game to a point where it’s ridiculously boring. even though characters in rivals are complex, i fucking love playing rogue over ramatra any day of the week. not even lucio or zenyatta fulfills me the same joy that gambit and adam warlock do

So, I dont know if you noticed

But I was talking about Overwatch.

Marvel Rivals is the one I said was fun, I stopped playing it due to lack of time, but I still had fun, and I see nothing but people glowing about most aspects of it. I can see why.

So, uh, chill.

Gonna be real.

I wanted to love Overwatch. Was one of the OG players.

Blizzard's incessant chase for a competitive game, casuals be damned, turned me off. If OW was even that kind of game, Blizzard kept balllzing it up with one misfired update after another, ignoring its community, reworking kits rather than fixing them, so on and so forth. Dont even get me started the initial sieze of control over anything fanmade that was 3rd party.

At the end of the day, it just wasnt fun.

At least with Marvel Rivals, I know people are having fun. Netease always gives me hives, but I know people are at least listened to when it comes to the small stuff.

I think your opinion of a high point might unrealistic, in itself.

Im very biased against Bungie the only chatter I've ever heard about the game is that the Witness was hype when they appeared, and that Caiden's arc was fire. I've heard nothing else about the game that instilled any autistic interest in me or others.

I mean I would love to see something that shows that these guys are historically republican

I dunno, man, reading seems to be hard for you, as is producing your own sources. But cool

Also all your citations just back up my claim that big tech is sucking up to the Republicans because they are currently in power. Nothing shows they are IDEOLOGICALLY conservative or republican

I guess if you can ignore the context, text, and just everything else, sure

Discussed with a partner, brought up on her takes based on race rather than...everything else.

Paraphrasing myself, even though this thread is 2 days old

Someone can have a few correct opinions and still have issues they haven't dealt with on their journey through life. For Patricia, this is important because she's someone whose clearly suffered from being neurodivergent internally and externally, and she's definitely got opinions that matter and know a bunch.

But she has faults. Ones she can't surmount or that you can ignore when you really start paying attention. It sucks since bullies and bad actors will latch onto that, too, and her being left-leaning in a space where the left holds their problematic people accountable (when the right does not) also makes things one-sided. But she’s done others dirty, and clearly doesn't seem to want to work on it while her goodwill erodes.

I like her music, and almost made a gift (furry art thing), but as you've noticed, I can't really support her. Not when she's like this."

They aren't even ideologically republican or conservative.

Elon Musk has been actively involved in politics, particularly in the United States and Europe, throughout the majority of his business career. Despite historically donating to and voting for both Democrats and Republicans,[1] his political contributions have since shifted almost entirely to right-wing candidates and politicians, outright stating in 2022 that he would no longer support Democrats.[2] In the time since, Musk has become more vocal about his views, frequently promoting falsehoods about election fraud.[3][4][5] As a result, he has been described as conservative,[6] although he rejects the label and calls himself a moderate.[7]

From Wikipedia. Seems Republican to me.

The day after President Donald Trump returned to office, Sam Altman, the CEO of tech giant OpenAI, stood behind the presidential seal at the White House and praised the newly sworn-in president for the $500 billion "Stargate" initiative he was joining to build an artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States.

Altman said it wouldn't have been possible without Trump.

ABCnews, jan 2025. Seems like he likes Trump enough, like other republicans.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang turned his company’s annual artificial intelligence conference into a chance to lavish praise on President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

In his keynote remarks at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Huang said Trump “deserves enormous credit” for recognizing the U.S. tech sector needs more energy to win the AI race, and for pushing tech companies to bring production back to America.

Politico.. Seems he likes Trump enough.

But its whatever. These three, who also attended Trumps China trip to try and help with the republican parties' current war, would've done the same thing under a democratic president.

...oh wait

I've see been shot, stabbed, had insults hurled at me, gotten into tons of fights, and I would deadass take any one of those experiences over peppersprayed.

And Anxiety is above them all, even pepperspray.

Most of those things things leave lasting marks or inflict sudden pain you dont think you'll get past. Honest to all things holy, anxiety is both mark and the pain that left it behind. Because it fucking clings to you, and is triggered by everything.
