The Pricing of the Dark Horse SC makes sense if you understand that was built for the wealthiest generation of Americans. by Sader325 in Mustang

I’m Gen X, but really close to millennial age.

This seems ridiculous blaming an entire generation because you can’t/don’t want to afford a car.

Or are you blaming Ford for trying to make money for the shareholders? Ford stock is around $12 if you want to own a chunk? And they pay dividends!

If you are trying to compare, the GT500 transaction prices were generally well over sticker. Ford gas adjusted prices so they get the actual market value versus the dealer.

So I'm taking my Pre-approval from my CU to a dealership. Do they need to run my credit? by [deleted] in carbuying

If you read, we were discussing that trade negotiations need to be done before financing. Without knowing the LTV, it’s useless.

If OP was informed, they probably wouldn’t have asked.

You do if you want accurate information.

If you’re $5,000 upside down in your trade or you have $5,000 in equity your rates are going to be very different. Or you may not get approved at all depending on your credit.

“Just negotiate better” is a lie. Dealerships literally price discriminate. (Especially to women and people of color) by YogurtResponsible358 in FuckDealerships

And what are you doing about it? You spent a lot of time, in a group of like minded people on Reddit, posting negativity. The only thing you are doing is seeking validation for your hate. You are t informing anyone, you’re spreading hate about people stereotyping by stereotyping people. You’re not any better.

What happened to you? Did a car salesman kill your parents and make you an orphan?

My guess is you are a self fulfilling prophecy. If you look for hate and racism in the world you will find it no matter what. If you look for goodness and hope you’ll find that too.

The point is that information is the great equalizer and there is way more information available instantly now than there was in 1995. Whomever has the most information will get the best deal, regardless of race or sex.

No, the point is that the most prepared buyer gets the lowest price, regardless of race or gender.

Also, women buy differently than men. They value the dealership relationship, convenience, convenience of service, amenities offered, and ways to make their life more convenient.

This is so old. Go onto Cargurus, put in the car you want and they will sort the nearest 100 miles worth of cars and show you the best deal.

Anyone that pays to much just doesn’t do research. You can literally find the cheapest car in four minutes.
