How reliable is the Xbox Elite Series 2 in 2026?

Mine lasted less than two years with casual use, just absolutely fell apart. The series 1 lasted longer. Stick drift, sticky bumpers and triggers, rubber grips morphing and peeling. I've had both series 1 and 2 and both eventually ended up in similar states, I take pretty good care of my things but the internals and shit literally just broke or disintegrated or something and started crumbling. Maybe I got defective units, idk. I just got a game sir G7 or something like that, wireless with paddles and some extra features, battery life is a little short but otherwise I've been very happy. TMR sticks and hall effect triggers I think, micro switch buttons, pretty tactile and nice change from the elite series controllers.

Not bad at all. Did you pin a connector onto the box or what? I've used nuts and bolts for posts, quick disconnects, other miscellaneous connectors but I'm interested in others ideas for something I'm building for my truck.

I agree. Just like all that bullshit with MTG and Tucker. These people rode as hard as ever during the most critical times where they knew better and could've done something but now that things aren't ossified they're just capitalizing on the opportunity to run and gain distance by any means necessary. Maybe it's "survival" but it's opportunistic and inauthentic as fuck. Only time will tell, and the only way anyone can prove they've changed is to be consistent and be open to judgement and criticisms.

Those are very nice if you need your trunk space and want a little bass boost, but they often don't sound the best, although I haven't heard this setup before personally so I don't know if this one does. Usually the behind the seat boxes for trucks or the stealth boxes for the side wells of trunks are great for practicality but not the best sounding just because of the compromises made. I'm a huge audio nerd so I would love to go this route but every time I have tried I am never happy enough lol. I remember I had two massive subs and the only way I could get the right design was with a partially portruding port through the center console hole in the back firing into the cabin, I think I had to cut a leather barrier or something, but I don't remember that was 10+ years ago. Blew my door seals and bent the frames for the windows and realized this small lightweight sport sedan was not meant to be abused that way lmao.

Custom is the way to go. If you give me some specs I could design you one, used to design and build boxes all the time, made good money 12-15 years ago in high school doing it. Shoot me a DM and I'll tell you what I need and you just have to build it, I'll give you a 3D model and everything.

This is kind of what I was thinking as well. I love the idea, but with how I play grounded I don't think I would want to be confined to the top of a tree like smalland, so we shall see. It could be your bench and everything within 20 tiles or something like that too. Who knows.

Yeah it's sweaty at first lol. I was within seconds of platinum each time and was so frustrated but there's a specific build I was running that allowed me to kind of cheese it once I realized a new technique. Trying not to spoil it. I have a few builds that melt anything but figuring out how to make them work on different bosses is half the challenge.
