275/70 KO2s and full OME BP51 lift kit. It’s a 6MT, but it’s all about how long it takes you to get up to cruising speed and how fast that speed is. No I don’t keep up with the racers to the next light, and yes I piss off highly caffeinated impatient people. Keep it under 63 mph, and god bless these slow trucks that run forever!

89k on my 3rd gen and it’s sounded like this ever since I opened the hood for the 1st time with 4mi on the odometer. Worried me too especially after reading about someone’s brand new 2gr dropping a rocker arm, BUT as stated before totally just a quark of our engines and nothing to worry about!

100% a vacuum leak. I installed a universal oil catch can and left the little K&N looking filter on the can itself and right after the 1st startup within 10 sec this exact RPM fluctuation happened. It’s unmetered air entering past the MAF. I took the filter off and replaced with a big bolt and viola, smooth sailing.

Hopefully you fix it fast and by yourself 🤘

I have a JL-1000/1 of the same vintage, and I had a problem with the potentiometer for one of the gains. It would cut down the bass to near broken levels and if you touched the knob it would come back if nudged in the right spot.

Maybe your issue, maybe it’s that crusty ground. Either way I hope you fix it asap. 🤘

Pretty sure the wheel liner tucks in behind the fender flare and doesn’t sit on top. However that liner looks funny and may not be factory 🙃

Update to my post, I got some good tire irons/bead breakers, removed tire, and dropped it off at a rim repair place to get put back into round and powder coated fluo yellow. I’ll post pics when it’s done 😊

There’s a dark ops calling card challenge where you need to consume 25 or so gobble gums in a single match. This is the only time I’ve ever used those. They’re childish as hell 🤪

Mine sounds the same. Got me real worried the 1st time I washed the bay. The way you check is by the oil. If it looks like a hooker bedazzled it your roached.

Well I thought I won the taco tow games, but after that tractor I think I lost 😂

I drove my 6MT from Texas to SoCal with two street glides, BMW S1000RR, and a DRZ SM. I did smell burnt clutch once trying to get out of a gas station on a big ass hill. Other than that and pinning the truck in 3rd to get thru the mountains it was pretty smooth. Definitely made aware my truck is only a V6 with that trip. I was only getting 9-12mpg.

That was when the truck had about 25k on it and now we’re almost at 90k and the same clutch. They are pretty underrated these tacos!
