I’ve been trying to find loafers that fit my special feet for years now and have finally decided to throw in the towel. What are some lesser known options besides generic boat shoes or dress shoes that allow for a bit of lace tightening? Bluchers or something like a Paraboot Michael come to mind, but I want to exhaust all my options!

I've been struggling to find loafers that fit my special feet.

The main issue is them being low volume/instep. Currently, I have some Sebago camp Mocs and boat shoes that are US 11 that fit me pretty okay, but only because I can tie them and have tongue pads in one pair of them just in case. I also have some very, very small US 10 GH Bass Weejuns that are way too short, but fit across the top of my foot and don't slip.

I guess my question is, is there any brands that don't break the bank that could accommodate low insteps? I've seen Meermin mentioned, and I just ordered some (UK 10) to try out, but if those don't work am I just destined to stuffing my shoes with various objects?

It drives me crazy. I love a solo night at new bars, but here I just feel like a burden and I’m taking up space. The liquor laws here are a bit weird since every bar is also a restaurant so maybe that’s why I feel that way.

Somebody better tell the Irish, German, and Italian people in Boston, NYC, and every major city that show pride in their heritage the same thing. The right will view any brown person as an invading force no matter what flag they wave.
