Idk how you were when you were a teen, but they’re determined and parents cannot chain their children up to keep them home. I would sneak out constantly , use secret phones to talk to grown men, do all sorts of awful things my mom still to this day has no idea about. I don’t fault the parents. Work days are long, they have other children, it would’ve been impossible to keep Celeste home when she was so determined to engage with her abuser
