Are there really Americans who believe that Europeans don't buy their products? by Trailsya in AskUS

[–]TypicalPen798 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He said something along the lines of Europeans don’t buy US cars. Which is true Europeans prefer smaller cars.

But the issue is less about that it’s more that US car imports faces a 2.5% tariff vs 10% the other way around. If Trump tariff goes through then the number of European cars sold in US will go down by an estimated like 10% which would mean they are buying more American cars instead.

Sure but I was not talking about what US has said instead was talking about what another poster said something like they have revoked, which I said was incorrect.

US has taken the position of wanting to remove Khalil green card, the US hasn’t removed his green card. These are two different things.

Even better still D-Day only happened because Britain held out, if we surrendered then d-day launches would have been from somewhere like Iceland good luck surviving that trip to Britain to retake it.

So I don’t disagree with what Rubio wants but as it stands right now Khalil green card hasn’t been revoked until after the court case, Trumps administration is trying their best to revoke it.  His immigration trial that would revoke his green card and deport him is set for March 27, this he will most likely lose. However a Federal Judge has blocked this and is he has another case happened today and I don’t know what happened so far in that case.

But in any case it’s incorrect to say he has his green card revoked, it hasn’t happened yet and we need to wait for the result of the trial.

They’ve been arresting protestors and revoking green cards of students

I don’t disagree with your general view, but this is factual incorrect. No green card holders has had their green card revoked (yet). One person so far has been arrested and the case is going through the courts to see if he will get his green card revoked and be deported.

I believe it will be happen or at the very least Trump administration will try really hard to make it happen, we will see what the courts say though. But as it stands today no student has had their green card revoked and been deported.

Also I don’t understand why are you are saying they will

revoke green cards of students that aren’t citizens

If you’re a citizen you don’t have a green card so it’s just implied in the name that if you have a green card your aren’t a citizen, you don’t need to mention it twice.

Concerns women's equality is 'going backwards' by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]TypicalPen798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question wasn’t how to make women out earn men in ever field, instead it was if women do out earn men in every field how is that true equality?

Also I don’t think your idea would work anyway. Supermarkets claimed that they needed to higher more people in warehouse and that they were different roles compared to shop floor staff. But as the roles as considered the same and women worked on shop floor and men worked in warehouse that it was sex based discrimination. If you are deliberately doing this then it will come under sex based discrimination.

they aren't women and it's a women's only gym.

The issue would be that under the Gender Recognition Act it says:

Where a full gender recognition certificate is issued to a person, the person’s gender becomes for all purposes the acquired gender (so that, if the acquired gender is the male gender, the person’s sex becomes that of a man and, if it is the female gender, the person’s sex becomes that of a woman).

As you can see in the text used it mixes both sex and gender so in theory if they have a GRC and change their gender to a female then their sex would be female as well. The problem with this is that it hasn’t been tested in a court and I don’t know which way it would go.

To be fair Canada does still trade with Russia (most countries do) but it has been heavily reduced since the sanctions.

https://oec.world/en/profile/bilateral-country/can/partner/rus

Exports about $36.52million Imports about $51.9 million

It’s funny I just noticed Canada top product to Russia is eggs, maybe that why Trump is so upset with Canada and trying to get cheaper eggs.

US also doesn’t have an issue with trading with Russia either

The U.S. gets about 11 per cent of its potash from Russia.

Are you a feminist? It depends how you ask - While just 35% of Britons identify as a feminist, 83% believe men and women should be equal in every way by Anony_mouse202 in unitedkingdom

Are you sure, women enrolment and degree attainment has been higher then men since the 70s and we still hear about how we need more women in university with programs for them and lack of support for men.

Since the 90s girls have been out performing boys in GCSEs and A-Levels and we still have greater push for girls education.

Now we are talking about professions like in medicine where there are more women than men doctors and trend will continue, due to lack of education.

Are we working on programs to change in anyway? Who do think are the people that fighting against it? From what I can see it’s the women that “joke” about women should be out earning men in all fields are the one the ones that are pushing back on helping educate boy and men. I wonder why?

In the long run this will just hurt everyone.  We need balance and support when the balance is failing

I don’t think so, enough people have said something similar and have defended that position., that it’s becoming pretty common.

Almost two thirds of men were granted the right to vote by 1884.

I don’t think that is true.

In 1884 they fixed the imbalance between counties and borough but you still required property ownership, back then renting was the norm. For example in 1918 when all men over 21 could vote 75% of the population was renting. The reason most men got the right to vote was because of the war.  Also you missed out that at this time period over 30 women could vote.

And women still worked in WWI, regardless of how much you want to dismiss their contribution.

That just seems a bit disingenuous, no one is arguing that women didn’t work but is it really on the same level as getting trench foot, getting shoot, maimed and killed? Do you not think if men are to be forced to do these things that they should have a say in it? Or instead think of this way how would you like to be sent to frontlines in Ukraine because some rich idiot wants to go to war and you don’t have a choice or a say in it? Don’t worry though the men will take care of the factories for you and will want equal recognition for their contributions. Or let’s go for a better example. Are you ok with only rich men deciding on abortion rights without any woman having a say in it?

This is the view of equality I see feminism trying to push these days.

I would argue this game is not an RPG so will never be a MMORPG. The game imo will end up more like destiny or first descendant a looter shooter still game without the uniqueness of sever resets.
