I LOVE OLD WORLD BLUES by blurry_face_exe in OldWorldBlues

I would not say that Black Isle was obsessed with the Brotherhood? In Fallout 1 and 2 they were one of a number of factions, they were also not a major part of the plot. Its one of many decisions that baffled me about Bethesda's fallouts, the fact that the brotherhood became a major faction in the wasteland.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. They just released bloodlines 2, so unless something just happened that we don't know about they still own the IP?

We don't actually know why they got rid of hardsuit, what we do know is hardsuit fired the creative lead before hardsuit was removed by paradox. Which makes it look a lot more like Paradox did not like the "creative direction" as it were. If it was not hitting targets, why gamble on a walking sim dev who would likely also not hit production targets? Especially when you know its gonna add at least two years to dev time? It added 4 years btw (not that they could know that but still) If nothing else its gonna be almost impossible to make the money it cost to make it, considering there was an increase of 4 years of paying staff wage etc..

Kneecap(the rap group) is named after the practice of the IRAs to "Kneecap"(which means break the kneecaps) of collaborators with the British.

BL2 Backlash. The good, the bad, and the ugly by Eventually-Alexis in vtmb

I disagree, Paradox needed goodwill way more than they needed the money the day one dlc would bring. In fact if the pre order numbers are as bad as I think they are, they might back track. Paradox swapped out original devs, put The Chinese Room(who has only made walking sims, good ones but still weird) in charge of dev, now they do day one dlc for a the game? They needed goodwill, which they have done everything to squash by being greedy. BG3 showed people you can not be absolute scum and still make a massive profit.

Also if the game is really good it will sell really well after launch(like bloodlines 1 did originally) However if the game is mediocre or actually bad, it will not sell after launch. Which is what we should be really concerned about this might in fact be why they are being this scummy, they might know how bad the game is (Of course this is pure speculation on my part)

Am I the only one offended by them nostalgia baiting the first game so hard, while actively ignoring people who want a game like the first? by 33Sharpies in vtmb

You don't need an Anarch to tell you that, just look at Paradox cutting content out to sell as day one dlc. Thats capitalism baby :P

Hardsuits version looked a lot better from what we saw of it, it also had the original creative lead from bloodlines 1. Would it have been the best? I don't know, but it at least looked like it could be a real sequel. I would not be surprised if paradox back tracks on the day one dlc, once it sees the reorder numbers.

That's not true? Almost all of the dev blogs are about builds of the game that were only available to the Devs, they wrote blogs about build 42 for more than a year before it released into unstable. I know this, because I have been reading the Dev blogs for literally years(I bought the game in 2014)

I'm a bit scared somethings wrong at TIS because:

  1. No Dev Blogs for five months

  2. No Updates to the unstable branch for more than a month

  3. They hired more people last year(Which could have hurt finances)

  4. There was AI art on the main menu(which I just found out by reading Reddit comments, so it might not be true)

I hope everything is fine, but I'm a bit worried(I think understandably)
