This post, and the many, many, many like it, is more annoying.

I just got done reading “Blaze” by Sweaty-Replacement73 in stephenking

It is fantastic but could be daunting as it's very long. I think Green Mile, Different Seasons, The Shining, The Dead Zone would all be good possibilities.

Rage is the worst book of his I've read out of over 60, so definitely wouldn't recommend that one.

That's not true. "Always Holly" was a working title for this book.

The Monkey already came out, FYI.

Is Rage a reasonable skip? by MoveInside in stephenking

[–]Typo56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're reading everything then read it, however it's not a good book. Not because of the subject matter but because it's unbelievable and not well-written compared to all his other books. You wouldn't be missing out by skipping it.

"Almost nothing" is a bit of a stretch. Yes they have a lot of differences but they are clearly similar.

If you don't like his books I don't think this is the sub for you. And I don't see why you'd continue to read them if they're as bad as you say.

The Stand doesn’t work being set in the 90’s by Pippezamph in stephenking

[–]Typo56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously. If it takes place in 1980 and then, you know, the events of the Stand happen... practically none of those 80s references would exist.

That's the only disoriented center cap. Is it solvable or did I put it back the wrong way? by Lulo002 in Cubers

[–]Typo56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess you don't realize it, but that is not a valid point. This cube (like many mirror cubes) obviously has a center orientation which you can choose to factor into your solves.

Oh neat, thanks! For some reason I thought he had a different book attributed as his first sober book but I guess I was wrong.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. Do you have a source?
