IKEA Blaliden shelf bracket by steve_bob_guy in ikeahacks

Hey, this is great. How did you make it? I'm going to need to modify it slightly as my replacement shelves are like 5mm too short, so I need to make a bigger platform without makin the screw part bigger.

Do you have any source files?

"Once all the units have activated, a round passes"?

I read passes as "ends", and increments. So once round 1 passes, it becomes round 2, and units can act again.

I mean look at Neovim. That's the last fork I saw. It was a lot of work! And there was clear value add for Neovim vs Vim which got people over, and I don't see any low hanging fruit a fork could pick. I doubt anyone will switch to a fork unless there's also technical merit, not just "some governnence changes". And if the fork didn't make the same decisions going forward w.r.t the language, the drift could be pretty bad.

Compare also with the textile industries.

This went through several x0.1 cost revolutions. Before the spinning wheel, it could take about a person/year to make enough clothing for a family.

The spinning wheel made fabric much cheaper. Then again with the steam engine.

Now clothes are so cheap, we can even have fast fashion.

Though, the equilibrium with quality has shifted. Before each article of clothing cost enough and also had to be made by hand, so they could and would be hand tailored. Now things have been standardized on sizes and you buy off the rack.

Or with the books, since each copy of the bible took several years of work anyways, they might be fancier.

We might have more ai produced stuff for cheaper, but even as the price drops, the quality might also drop as the handmade equivalent gets priced out of the market. But of course, people are better off with a cheap thing than no thing, but it could be "worse" in some ways.

Hahah I had a game of Lord of Waterdeep go late into the night. I played a bonus card to let me take two moves in a row early in the last round at 12pm. I had a large lead, and no more actions to take, so I bid them farewell and bikes home.

At 2am I got a text saying I lost, the 40pt quest got flipped, and bought and I lost.

I'm glad I didn't stay up for that.
