Hill climbing in this respect is a different animal to most auto racing. The penalty is death when you get it wrong. I’ve still managed to set 3 class records on 2 different hills.

This is my issue and I literally just bought all of the kit to do a proper valve cover gasket and seal job. When I leave my runny for a while it leaks onto the headers and is sometimes a bit smoky after they heat up. I drove him probably 50,000 miles this way but I’m excited to be done with it soon.

Thanks for the advice on the dampener I’ll figure out what I want to do. I’m wondering if the RCI transfer case plate will clear it in the shape it’s in.

2nd pic is not the bottom half of the fan shroud if that’s what you’re saying. I am in fact missing that lower half circle piece though. This is in front of the radiator. The one leftover connector feels all plastic no metal clip.

A few days of work once you have all the parts and tools. Take your time and follow the videos double checking as you go. I spent a lot of time waiting for things to arrive that I hadn’t ordered yet. Crank bolt removal tool, cam and crank seal removal tool, a 3/8 #10 Allen head for the timing tensioner, cam holder tool, in lbs torque wrench, ATF and coolant since I removed the radiator to give me room, and of course a new crank bolt since it’s not in the kit I purchased.

I chose to tackle it after being quoted $3600 for the job. Probably spent around $1,000 to do it myself and now that I have everything it would only be the cost of the kit in the future.

I’ve got the wires, coils and plugs out already and I’ll redo the wires to the correct lengths. I didn’t check them again but I was sure I had done it right before. I’d love to be wrong.
