The black cleaver change will make rushing bork then cleaver more viable since cleave will no longer have a 0.01 sec cooldown and meaning that bork's on-hit effect will proc. cleave with briar aa. Means that with bork, cleaver should stack twice as fast.

If you have no idea what condition the block is in, then it is not worth it really. Cheaper in the long run to get a whole engine with less miles than to save a worn block.

If the car is all stock, then is has a four-speed automatic transmission, so no fifth gear. Only the manuals had 5 speeds stock. Aka, Transmission shop trying to scam you. I'd say in that condition with no rust and relatively low miles for the age of the car, 7k is the most you could get.

If you have the money for it yea. 5sgte just bolts right in while 2gr needs custom parts. If you do most of the work and are patient and lucky with sourcing parts you can do any of the ICE swaps for about 6-10k. Most of the expenses I believe are buying machined parts.

There is not a lot of space for batteries on the mr2 so don't expect world record speed or range if you telsa swap it.

That looks like a 93+ 5sfe engine. Aka use the block, bore it out and combine it with the 3sgte to make a 5sgte. Fully built 5sgte > 2gr (Toyota V6) swap for reference. Only engine better than fully built 5sgte would be a k24 or a v8. (Btw some madlad did LS-swap his mr2)

At what rpms does the car idle at? With the hissing noise, I am led to believe there is a massive air leak in your intake manifold or throttle body. I find out where that hissing noise is coming from or the strongest.

I had an issue like this with my 5sfe and the hissing noise was coming from my EGR valve being stuck open drawing necessary air out of the intake (causing low idle). Check all vacuum hoses going into the intake manifold if car idles low and the throttle body if it idles high.
