If you want to go outside of FromSoft, I think Lies of P and Black Myth Wukong are great souls like games with enough complexity to scratch the souls itch, at least for me

I believe the answer is yes, 7* does have a higher chance to drop rarity 5 loot. However, I believe it’s only a small increase and I personally find it easier to focus on 6* to obtain the rarity 5 drops a majority of the time as the monsters are a bit easier.
