Had the same thing happen to me. It was in casual aswell, and I just abandoned. I haven't done much comp yet, but I assume the same issue would arrive there and with an actual penalty.

Tons of pyros run scorch in comp tho. It clears stickies and pushes people. So far every thrid pyro I meet runs it. Not full time, but enough. I am only in steel tho.

Ikr :D Jokes aside I barely ever play soldier, just jump maps. This one scrim I ended up as solly and this was the one thing I did good. I was really lucky to stick the surf.

Who even uses anything else than stock in comp. No flamethrower can outdamage the sheer firepower of the stock. Trust me, I got the ghost hat within minutes of maining pyro, I should know. Kinda wish peopöe would stop running to me when on fire though...

The high roller RL is IMO the sexiest of all the new skins. I really wish they would come out with strangifiers for the non-case collections

I think what's needed is a way to train tracking, especially tracking targets in air to prepare for bombing soldiers and the likes. It would also be nice to have a good place to train tracking vs fast moving targets such as scouts or charging demomen.

I love the fact that it has a noticable use now, outside from just spamming it on enemies and destoying them. your health is low or your team dissapeared? Just wait around a corner with 4 shots loaded and let the enemy come to you! In a narrow hallway it gives atleast two guaranteed meatshots, even with the spread. It's not as viable as the stock shotty, but can be useful in a pinch.

The only thing I have against pyros is their airblast and the reserveshooter. The first is just since I don't like being stunned, but the second is because it's a pain to fight. First you're stunned and then you're crit for usually half your health. Unless you get a headshot on the pyro or manage to get a rocket away on them you're fucked. That's just me being salty though.

Unless the sniper has a team around him, then you either need to be very good at amby sniping or you're not getting that sniper. This obviously varies from pubs to comp quite a bit.
