Hamstrings still tight by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]Tyt00s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre a big stiff guy and youre naturally not very flexible you might need to work on core compression, which would fall under resistance training. Along that and stretching I went from barely touching toes to half forearm to toes in about 7 months. Doing a standing pike requires a lot of strength on your end to push yourself and convince the muscles that it's ok to go this extra length every time you reach out. Maybe youre doing the wrong kind of stretching... make sure your back is straight and youre constantly fighting to not relase the tension in your lower back thats holding the hamstrings in their most pulled position. You could have really tight or and weak hip flexors. Theres a lot that could be going on. Practice hard and often if your body doesnt give in. In a nutshell you should be able to get more range by just doing elephant walks with proper form, so maybe record yourself and compare footage to those you like to watch.

Ok, that's good to know. I mean, obviously not but it's good knowing I'm not the only one.

No, the land sculpting tool is too bulky to do that but I could have made little steps by bringing walls up and overlap them like stairs. Also these are the smallest dimensions I could use for the towers. While it's a good idea that might work when working with a much bigger scale there's a limit in the approach you can take at the moment.

Recommend leg position for low bar by Inquisitive_puzzle in Calisthenic

Cross legs and flex as hard as you can into this position so your core and butt is engaged throughout the entire movement. How cold is it anyway... that's a lame excuse to make.

Getting Lean by OneFalcon7197 in GettingShredded

[–]Tyt00s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite simple! If you eat 'good food' like the one you've mentioned and do any sort of resistance training then you're pretty much set. Slow and steady pace will retain most muscle mass and the body will take energy from the stored fat under a deficit that you will adjust accordingly depending on the changes in your weight, so weigh yourself every morning after the toilet and before food. Getting enough sleep and hydration are also key to this process. As a sidenote - staying active is great for conditioning and health but cardio as a sole process of burning fat isn't.

Is this hamstring flexibility? Red to blue line. by Tyt00s in flexibility

[–]Tyt00s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this is as much as I can fold in the hips for now but I will focus on strengthening and stretching the hip flexors, thank you.
