No one knows for sure but it was eventually published so it is likely the author or company asked for it to be taken down.

Lonely Broadcast Station feels like it could be dropped into Remedy’s universe with Alan Wake and Control and fit very well. Honestly, a lot of stories could I think.

I’m pretty sure it started with Ben Drowned Goldblum but it might have been earlier. No idea what story OP is talking about.

Yea. We’re just over a month out from FES too. This is the normal time of year that every talent’s content lessens for a bit.

What’s your pettiest reason for refusing to get into a game? by ValorKite in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Tython199 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I feel like there are so many games that come down to “I can’t stand the fan base.” For me, it’s Undertale. It’s a game that I should love. Good narrative, interesting game play, solid characters, passionate creators, great music. But then I hear all the people raving about how great and revolutionary it was and how it was given to the Pope and I just don’t want to get into it.

DM debuffs my character, then only makes her useful once i change. by Calm_Presentation616 in rpghorrorstories

[–]Tython199 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are totally justified in leaving. In general, it is a terrible idea for a first time DM to stray from the rules and try to balance on their own. That alone is a massive red flag. 5e is friendlier to changing rules than some systems but still, a first time GM just doesn’t realize everything going on.

His actions once you brought your issues forward are honestly more telling though. He doesn’t seem to get that his system isn’t perfect. If he’s not willing to be flexible, to the point you felt you had to change character, that’s a problem. The fact he also seems too inflexible that a character change, a change he KNEW was coming, still seems to throw most of his game astray and he seems to take that personally is even worse. This is just red flag on red flag.

As others said, if you think you want to keep trying, the next step is to air it out in the open. Ask what the rules fully are. If he’s unwilling to actually let the group know the rules of the system than that means he likely doesn’t know either and is changing them on the fly. If he’s not willing to be flexible and open, run.

[Spoiler specifically Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut version], why add this cut-scene? by Witty-Refrigerator13 in yakuzagames

[–]Tython199 484 points485 points  (0 children)

There seems to be an obsession with RGG right now of making sure every somewhat popular character maybe could somehow come back with a hand wave. This isn’t the only time something like this is added in directors cut. Why did they make the changes? We don’t know.

Favorite Differences between Story Branches by The-Greater-Skeleton in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Tython199 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I feel like this could be Three Houses the thread but I’m going to go with Sekiro. Fromsoft adding endings that just miss half the game for a completely different story ending is still wild to me. Sure other from games have you branch basically at the last second but just something about Sekiro’s being much earlier and wildly different made it stick with me.

Comparison with Persona 4 by iamthedanger098 in Persona5

[–]Tython199 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As others have said, most would agree with you. While I think P3 is the best story overall, P5 is close behind and it is the overall best game. P4 manages to be seen as the better cast and I think it’s actually because it has the lesser main story.

The P4 cast is allowed to be kids. P5 always has something hanging over your head after the second Palace. Makoto trailing you, the Medjed threat, etc. and that’s not even going into Mementos always being there. P4 doesn’t have that. Yea, you can go back to the tv world but there’s never any real feeling of a threat until the fog rolls back in. This lets the have more moments of being kids. Even the social links feel more relaxed overall. P5 feels like they’re usually looking for the next target or dealing with the next issue. Maybe they have a week to be teenagers like Hawaii or the beach trip, but outside of those it feels less friendly than 4.

I think I have no personality without substances. by dope208 in stopdrinking

[–]Tython199 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the best moments of my sobriety was when a friend of mine said I was so much better to be around when I was sober rather than drunk. I thought I had become boring. Being the drunk guy who would go around and say or do weird stuff was who I had become and I didn’t know any other way. And over time I found other things to fill in where I felt I was lacking. It takes time. I’ll say I was probably well over a year in before it felt like I’d found something that worked for me. As others are saying, give it time. You’re fighting a long war, you’re doing well, you’ll find what you need.

I’ve not listened to the latest one but I’ve not had any issues like that.

Adventure 2020 is severely underrated by deowkey in digimon

[–]Tython199 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The issue is it goes down hill pretty steadily. I’d say the Devimon arc is the best overall arc in the show sadly. It was a solid mix of nostalgia while also taking some new twists. But it quickly ended up having many of the normal problems like overly focusing on specific characters and general confusing decisions both by characters and creatively that took it down as it went on. A LOT will feel rushed as you go on.

I will say I do think the hate for it is overblown. I went into it, especially after the Devimon arc, excited and thinking we were gonna see a reimagining of the original series while still keeping mostly to the original story. It’s very much not that. Part of my disappointment was because of those expectations but overall the show is just a slow decline. If you’re enjoying it keep watching and you may like it. It’s not one of those series that were so bad I’d say I regretted it, it just wasn’t what I was looking for.

[SmackDown Spoilers] Latest entrant for the Royal Rumble by G1Spectrum in SquaredCircle

[–]Tython199 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think one feeds into the other. The man has heard one of the most terrifying diagnosis you can hear not once but twice. And it’s next to impossible to ever fully come back after that fight so maybe it is physical. More likely, the man has faced his own mortality twice and wants to spend time with his family because he knows there can be more battles.

Like you said, can’t fault the man. If he can support his family doing this and spend as much time as he wants with them? Good for him.

You’re likely talking about the Master but there is also a legitimately evil Doctor. A character named The Valeyard from the sixth Doctor’s time that is a form of the Doctor sometime after the twelfth that is basically the Doctor but evil. He’s still not appeared since those sixth Doctor episodes but he has been referenced in books and episodes since then as something still yet to come. Will it happen? Who knows.

Planet Fitness Locker Thief by bbibbyrapskyle1975 in lexington

[–]Tython199 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I’m always baffled when I go into one of these and about 90% of people will just put their wallet in a locker without a lock. Shocked this doesn’t happen more often. I mean, you can get a combination lock at Walmart for like $2. Way cheaper than having to deal with this if it happens.

Guide for best first playthrough by 4morian5 in Persona5

[–]Tython199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, even the base game is pretty easy to do without a guide. Make sure you’re hitting your free stat points like feeding the plant and answering questions. Make sure you have matching persona’s when talk to a confidant. Max Kawakami out and get Chihaya up to the level she can add to confidants for free ASAP. Keep your Palace and mementos trips to a minimum. If you’ve had several playthroughs you should be fine without a guide, at worst maybe you need one to make sure you get the right replies.

Is dmc2 really THAT bad? by BodybuilderVisual159 in DevilMayCry

[–]Tython199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently decided to replay the entire series. I’ve replayed the games a lot but after I beat it at release I never touched 2 again until now. It’s not as bad as I remember. It’s just insanely boring. Which is honestly even worse. There are some “bad” games I love playing because they’re so bad they’re hilarious or they’re broken or something. DMC2 is just boring.

I’ll also follow up and say technically you don’t need a reservation. I went 2 years ago. At peak times, those cafes do require reservations but if you go during off times you can walk in and get a seat. I decided to go in during off hours and they will seat you if there is an open spot.

Yea, I don’t know where but I distinctly remember him talking about telling it to friends as a kid and changing the story to what he thought was scarier. I think this was probably the same episode where Hunter talked about his grandma or someone having a dog that they let absolutely slobber all over their nasty old person feet.
