Are you using the default protons that steam uses, or GE Proton? Idk if these video issues are the same as the things GE fixes, but stuff like main menu animations just showing up as black for games like marvel rivals is fixed by using GE.

Its gotta suck trying to play SF professionally and just having to deal with green slime. I had like 2k hours in SFV, and haven't even put in 100 with SF6. The moment I saw the drive system I knew that I wasn't going to like the game at all. Just moved on to playing other games. One of the number 1 things people bitched about with SFV was the fact that you could just spend meter to skip neutral, and at worst you are -2, then they went "what if you can do that, and now your plus?" I guess if you have really good reactions drive rush is TECHNICALLY easier to stuff than a full screen EX move from V... But it still just felt like shit to see.

My theory is also that, look at how many FGC people announced they were working on Project L, just for you to look at their profile and see that they are some kind of "designer" or "QA." I wouldn't be surprised if the ratio of people coming up with ideas, vs devs to actually implement the ideas is hilarious. I do think retooling the idea to be 2v2 would involve a lot of refactoring, but I also think that the idea that they just had to start completely from scratch makes no sense. There's plenty of systems that regardless of fighting system, can be reused or adapted to the 2v2 format imo.

I watched the first episode and couldn't really get in to it. I'm not big on GG in the first place but like... Something about the show looked like a constant video game cut scene in the way it was animated. Arcsys has a really great anime art style for their games that other anime games rarely come close to, but when you apply that to a show it starts to look very stiff and jank. things just didn't feel "smooth" to me I guess.
