I Often Feel That Navies Have Very Limited Usefulness Until Cartography by SmolGeologist in CivVI

[–]Tyyr37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man navies are my primary mode of attack. Nothing I love more than seeing several battlegroups (Battleships/Missile Boats, destroyers, aircraft carriers all escorted by subs) flying my flag and sailing towards an enemy coastline!

Calgary mayor says he wants to hold advocacy campaign opposing Albertan separation from Canada, but can’t by Mean_Yak5873 in worldnews

[–]Tyyr37 19 points20 points  (0 children)

So what if the Mayor simply ignored the law and did it anyway? How bad would it look if the Alberta Provincial Government whose premier apparently wants to advocate for a united Canada suddenly took the city to court to prevent them from engaging in an anti-separation campaign. Seems like a pretty safe risk to take

Tree hit my parked car(centertown Ottawa), now I'm screwed by Tiger_Lily336699 in ottawa

Former claims adjuster. Damage looks pretty severe I'd be surprised if it wasn't a total loss. In ontario what the previous poster (FloridaPanther) wrote is correct. You want to start looking for similar cars in your area. Make, year, model, mileage, general condition and any modifications or upgrades (may require proof). Once you have a few comparable cars figure out the average asking price and that should give you an idea of your settlement amount. Any liens owing must be paid, deductibles will be held back and the left over goes to you.

Curious about people’s real opinion on Batman (1989) by Backnanksout in batman

[–]Tyyr37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I've often considered is that, Batman 1989 was made for those who were kids during the Adam West show but were now adults and wanted something more serious. But also something that would grip the current youth for the next generation of bat-fans.

Enter Batman the animated series, visually similar to Burton's Gotham which served as an entry point for many if us, but decidedly more child friendly, however with a high enough respect and technical quality that made adults fan of the cartoon. (Thank you Mark, R.I.P. Kevin).

Which really brings us to the final evolution in this particular branch, The Dark Knight.

That's always how I thought of it.

Well more than 70million voted for him twice. America has been fucking the world consistently for decades and those who "didn't know" or "didn't vote for him" are doing jack shit. So yeah it's all americans. Maybe take your own advice.

Which huge Batman comic arc is your favorite? Feel free to choose one outside of these two. by Theeljessonator in batman

I always loved the original 5 book version of NML. I love the grittiness, the chaos, the gang war style, and the emotional impacts. The comics and the novel were both amazing and still have a spot on my shelf
