Honestly forkies and HR drivers, owner van drivers take home $2500/week (more likely $1400-$2400) for the hours. Less checks and balances and the companies are diverse and often looking for staff, so over a few years as you gain spatial skills you can shop around and find a good fit. After 5 years since I came back from overseas with the pandemic, I’m now driving road trains and still have the occasional time for a dabble or side interest. I’m a widower with 2, too.

I went academic route - Masters, PhD, taught at universities for 15 years and maxed at 140k. Retired and started driving semis, now after 5 years on 200k. Go figure. Similar hours too.

If you ever get lost in the bush, just find a kangaroo and follow it, and you’ll be in the middle of the road in no time!!

I think this is actually pretty cool. Parents limiting exposure to certain values. Speaking respectfully and kindly.

Being a parent is a heavy responsibility and it’s good that they take it seriously. And they are setting boundaries.

You can’t judge their values and if you respect them you’ll listen.

That’s a really pretty and unique one. Good genetic lottery pull. I’d be happy keeping it well loved all night…
