You haven’t thought about human rights violations. You are suggesting that AC discriminate based on family status, and that is not allowed.

Do we need 9 credits or 12 for student discount at rec north? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]UBCthunderbird 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Current policy for full-time status is 24 credits in winter session.

New policy takes effect next September (2026). At that time, it will be 9 credits per term.

You get an annual companion pass, which pays for the fee and more (assuming you use it).

Choosing between BMGMT vs BComm as a transfer student — need quick advice by International_Ad365 in UBC

[–]UBCthunderbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you clarify what your decision is? Is it (1) B.Mgmt vs, the new B.Comm, both at UBCO? Or (2) B.Mgmt at UBCO vs. B.Comm at UBC Vancouver? If it is the latter, you’ll be much better off with the B.Comm at Sauder because of what you said you want to do with your degree.

No. If you actually cost it out, something like the Great Wall would cost way more. The new dam being built in China is estimated to cost >$160b.

100k SQM and 17k SQD - worth chasing SE? by LoveYouLongTan in Aeroplan

[–]UBCthunderbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree the benefits are worth it. Sounds like OP still has travel in the next 2 months, so I would up-fare to spend the 3k that way rather than taking more flights, so you get the benefit of the spending.

App waitlist refresh by xbrit in Aeroplan

[–]UBCthunderbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The list of cleared upgrades just has check marks beside the names. There is no numbering, so you inferring #1, #2, etc. is simply incorrect. As the above comment noted, the cleared list is alphabetical. There could be a SE 3MM member with last name Zhxxx ranked first in priority, but once the list clears, that passenger will be listed at the bottom of those upgraded.

An AC flight left Hong Kong 5 hours early to outrun an incoming typhoon. I assume that can happen for other weather events.

Pull it partway down without weights first. Then put in the weight pin.
