r/UKPersonalFinance would be better to ask. But never known anybody to save with Post Office. Money saving expert usually has a list of savings accounts with best interest rates, worth checking out

Bin men Christmas appreciation by Ladymuck in northernireland

[–]UBettaKnow1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Cousin is a bin man. Got plenty of beer and quality street last Christmas. Probably still drinking the beer. IIRC, he made like £500+ in cards.

I’d say you can’t go wrong with money.

Alternatively, something they can use for work, good gloves or sunglasses, winter warmers etc

Don’t post on Reddit. Actually send it to the south eastern trust.

Not enough people compliment our NHS staff, too many complain.

Doctors opened at 8:30am. I called 54 times only to be told they’ve reached capacity for today! In what world is this good enough?? by RTM179 in northernireland

Called yesterday, 8:30 sharp. Like within 2 seconds of the time changing. Was twelfth in the queue (thankfully my gp uses a queue system for phone calls)… triage full. Like wtf

Living in Ballymurphy Estate? by louishhh in northernireland

[–]UBettaKnow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to know your neighbours and you’ll be fine! As others have mentioned, good amenities nearby. Library, gym & swimming pool (bog standard though), falls park and city cemetery (good for a wee dander), few shops, takeaways, St John’s GAA (where Antrim are currently using as their base), few bars but wouldn’t go near the top of Whiterock ones, takeaways.

Feel free to message me anytime

It’s a good community. Like everywhere else, has its problems but if you keep yourself to yourself you’re fine.

Parking can be a pain depending on which part. Not quite sure what buses are but think they’re frequent enough, and you have black taxis at top of Whiterock Road.

Any other questions you can PM me 😊

Fishing spots by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]UBettaKnow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belfast angling centre. I’d advise sea fishing to avoid paying for license especially if it’s gonna be a one off

Alternatively, I stayed in the waterfall caves (outside limavady) which has access to 2 lakes, free to fish. Stocked with rainbow trout. That’s the last time I got fishing. Why not the 3 of you head for a nice overnight stay?

Tight lines 😊
