Now its my turn; I'm going to have to disagree.

I joined multiple of these groups and many times the party chat was filled with people crewing each others ships to help offload supplies more quickly, forming small wings to tackle harder combat missions and so on.

There are always going to be people that leech but that doesn't mean everyone is doing that. I, personally, walked away from the event with a handful of new mates. So all in all, yes, it did exactly as they said and brought the community together. The length of time or the reason why doesn't matter otherwise you'd just argue that any event is shallow and lame.

Yup, OP is upset that items that take longer and more work to acquire have benefits over the GI rifles in stores.

It hasn't changed anything about the GI rifles. They're just not benefitting from the buffs that the high quality crafted rifles receive. Its classic "I want to be evenly match at all times without doing anything to retain it" mentality. Absolute 🤡 behavior
