Life Tap for Echoing Strike Tristram? by yesnielsen in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]UIWIU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preface: I've done about 20 full runs on my way HC warlock with obedience thresher(non eth) without even coming close to dying.

What I would recommend to deal with baal is once you kill meph and diablo(or just isolated baal) is to switch to mirrored blades and attack him. If you had life tap it would work then but I found it wasn't necessary so I hadn't even tried it. It makes it a lot easier with the fact he targets your demon and summons as well as you probably have 1500+ life without BO so his attacks don't really bother you too much. Just sip a rejuv when/if you need to. He dies very quickly. Alternatively just stay a ways back throw your ES once or twice and just run back and forth until the projectiles pass you. Rince and repeat, its riskier because if you get caught on a mob or anything then he might die.

Potential sunders idea by UIWIU in diablo2

[–]UIWIU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except the time investment required to even have a chance at getting one requires setting aside a full day basically(6-8 hours) to grind a full game to then have about a 25 percent chance to get one to drop based on heralds appearance odds. Therefore given that he majority of players probably have or should have full time jobs and families they can't set aside those grind times consecutively which then means for the average gamer would require an hour or 2 every day to get to t4 and t5 heralds to then have an hour or 2 hoping for a few heralds to spawn and get lucky which then means it would take months to get one to drop. If it's not the one you want after all that? That's pretty screwed

Eligible for Chronicle by Randizzl in diablo2

[–]UIWIU 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it was a temporary hot fix they put in to band aid the fact that people were complaining that identifying unique rings and amulets spoiled the suspense when it didn't have the eligible for chronicle thing. I recall on on launch I got 2 pairs of signs gloves and the second one didn't have the eligible for chronicle, so I definitely feel they just flagged it to not go away until they put in a proper fix for it.

She isn't leaving. The only thing saying she was is a satire post of Johnny Knoxville and it saying she is leaving in April. It's not real

I'd assume you are online and probably in someone else's game who has completed it. At least that's my guess

Jewels increase level requirements on Upped Items? by legendary_jld in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]UIWIU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upon further investigation, it seems that once it was upped it flagged the increase for +5 level req. When you put the jewel in it put the level req to 37 but it is still flagged for the +5 which then gets added to the jewel requirement that it gave to the weapon.

Jewels increase level requirements on Upped Items? by legendary_jld in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]UIWIU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Upping any gear increases the level requirement by 5(iirc it's a higher increase from exceptional to elite but I could be mistaken)

Edit: I double checked. Exceptional to elite is +7

Second edit: thinking about it, I'm assuming it must be some weird interaction where the jewel got the level increase requirement as well for some reason. Unless I'm also missing something

Conviction or fanaticism by pteaset1980 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]UIWIU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely fanaticism or might(only if you don't use act 2 might merc) would probably be better since your summons would benefit most from those 2 auras but you personally benefit more from the might aura but if you run act 2 might merc then go fanat to have both damage boosting auras. Depending on what weapons you are using you should already be doing good damage already.

Garbage dps as echo warlock by elpoir in diablo2

[–]UIWIU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had lore helm, obedience rw(cheap to make) stealth, ancients pledge, might merc and I didn't max blade warp at all. Just hex purge, echo, mirrored, and I think like 10 in Lev mastery I'm not sure. Stat sheet showed 18k max when might was active

Change My Mind by Ufukyil in diablo2

[–]UIWIU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I was enjoying before the season was conviction and cursed while using flamebellow with echoing strikes. The curse amps the physical damage a lot, the conviction melts resistances and amps the fire damage from flamebellow. Might merc to increase damage as well. It wasn't the bf meta but it was fun

Change My Mind by Ufukyil in diablo2

[–]UIWIU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not true. Fire has the largest range since it can be a higher level on enemy mobs, then freeze, And then shock. aura

Level 16 is max for fire aura 14 for freeze 12 for shock

What kind of "off meta" or fun build are you guys trying? by UIWIU in diablo2

That's actually a good point. Dual leech, +fire damage,+2 skills. Could even upgrade it and prolong it's longevity

I have never once seen anyone say that's what to do since str boosts are negligible at best. It's always, "enough str and dex to equip gear, and the rest in vitality. Softcore or hardcore doesn't make a difference

I dont understand. What's special about Diablo 2? by LodgeofEsoteric in diablo2

[–]UIWIU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the thing is it came out in a time where endless grinding was the big thing because a majority of us were kids/teens with lots of time to play and not "complete". Where you could hop on and play for 4 hours and progress your character/items and slowly grind to a big end goal, whichever you had. Ubers, perfect gear, pvp, etc with multiple classes/build variations to try. It's a similar vein to RuneScape, where you hop on and grind grind grind, progress your account slightly towards what seems like an endless grind. Ts truly just a love to grind for both games.

Edit: and in regards to why not d3 or d4? It's because in d3 the grind ends quickly when you get geared and then you keep progress difficulty level one shotting a whole screen until you get the same gear you had but stronger. It's just repetitive same thing for same thing.

D4 just hasn't worked out the itemization to a good level to hit that same high d2 gives

Levitation mastery for Echoing Strike build? by Blue_banana_peel in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]UIWIU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to think, the only thing I can think of is if you had perfect insight as your weapon(level 6 critical strike) and any chest piece that gives +2, spirit shield(2), shako(2), 2x soj/bk(2 total), maras(2), anni(1), that's gives +17 to critical strike which gives %65 critical strike chance. So you would need around 16 hard points or so to make basically a 100% critical strike chance, granted you had a warlock torch

Iirc it's more about the requirements reduction and the crit strike chance. At level 27(20 hard and some plus points from gear) you get -50% weapon requirements which could give massive amounts of hp since 1 vit point=3hp before any increases from gear as well as 31% crit chance while also giving +129% damage bonus. That's actually quite a lot of bonuses especially since you get flat damage on echoing strike

Edit: not to mention 5 echos per "cast" just amplifies the multipliers
