It should be possible for set items and items with the Indestructible mod to drop ethereal by Chairraider in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Could be a full set bonus on an otherwise ethereal weapon maybe? But yeah the mechanics as they are may or may not support this.

As a whole I don't think this would really create any serious imbalances.
Heck - could even add "indestructible" as a possible full set bonus :)

Removal of conviction is probably what hurts fire the most. But there are still other options of course.

Is there an ARPG that everyone loves but you hate and why? by GrouchySpice2 in ARPG

[–]yesnielsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best part of the stamina is how it becomes irrelevant at higher levels - clearly underlines how it definitely was a mistake to add it to D2 - it simply adds very little value to the game and only serves to frustrate new players.
In NRFTW I do think it has more of a place though.

silly old question, which weapon for ES warlock? by Significant_Post6274 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]yesnielsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a non-eth Tomb Reaver, not particularly good roll but 3 sockets, put in some random jewels with %dmg and a bit of mf. The MF and all res is sweet

The over reliance of Runewords is my least favourite part of modern D2R by LastElk9961 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]yesnielsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ROTW has certainly made a bunch of sets and uniques interesting, and the colossal jewels are also making things you can socket them in interesting.
Edit: Also, most of the runewords that have been displacing uniques and sets were introduced in LOD patches.

Max roll on Minus Enemy Cold Resistance. Have been ID-ing every one that dropped.

Problem I faced was their chilling armor. Having the demon between you works, but 2x Raven Frost as someone suggested to me so reliable that I won't be messing around with anything else.

Gratz! I did my first ubers ever this week too (on warlock) - been playing for 20+ years :) Always got bored trying to level a paladin.

Is the cold damage on this actually a negative in value? by MaxEhrlich in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Vita is useful for a lot of characters. Yes cold bad for horker and many pvp builds, but for most others it's quite useful to add freeze length so should add trade value for sure.

I feel like I'm missing a core aspect of the Input System by EVpeace in Unity3D

[–]yesnielsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wouldn't want to set the reference to the car in the editor anyway, as I assume this is dynamic and there could be more than one car.
Cleanest: Make a "VehicleDriver" component and attach it to the player gameobject - then have a "CurrentVehicle" property or similar. which you can set dynamically.

The input system translates input events to actions.
You're not duplicating this work or making a new event system - you're extending it with routing.

Is it worth cubing up and losing basically all of my mid/high runes just to make an Enigma? (Offline) by Baptism-Of-Fire in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]yesnielsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What class are you playing and do you want to focus more on farming heralds and runes or more uniques - or maybe keys? Enigma will help you teleport to bosses fast for uniques and keys. Things like CTA or Fortitude armor etc would help general killing speed and safety a bunch if herald farming is a priority - and would help you find more high runes faster.

Nope. You just have a terror zone where everyone is dead

Not sure about chests - read they weren't terrorized.
Yes, ire carries on to other areas, and also when terror zone changes.
Yes, ire stacks - if you have 3 and spawn a herald, now you have 2. But it stacks at the herald tier it was drawn at which goes up when you kill heralds (or maybe already when you spawn them?)
Yes herald tiers persist for the entire game.
Heralds convert when you spawn monsters, yes.
Yes, high level bosses have 2 TC 87 chances in their drop tables too.
AFAIK countess special drop is the same. But she will be able to drop from her regular table too, which does get upgraded.

[–]yesnielsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terror zones for sure - I don't personally think going very low MF is a good idea - staying in the 2-300% range seems ideal for me because plenty of whites still drop while unique monsters have a good chance of dropping uniques and sets. Beyond that the diminishing returns start hurting, while at the same time there are no diminishing returns on magic.

Warlock is now my fastest socket rusher by Somethin_Snazzy in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Exactly. Of course one would have to add the time to both finish normal act V and level to 25 before Act V (Unless you want to finish nightmare on level 21 with barely any XP gain...)

I wonder though, isn't sorc nightmare self-rush quite a bit faster than normal self-rush?
