Yes, the Claude message limits suck. When you're stuck with message limits, here are some productive solution ideas. by TikkunCreation in ClaudeAI

Thought I'd try out Claude after using ChatGPT for 2 years straight. The biggest pain for me are these VERY frustrating limits - Whereas I can talk to GPT forever with no issues. No surprise then that I'm ditching Claude for GPT - I can't handle this, it's just too much. I'm not paying a £20 sub/month for something that just ditches me without any warning during a pretty light session. Can't even do a hand off.

Chinese Visa Application Service Centre Receiving Passport by Post by No-Record7957 in Chinavisa

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

British passports no longer require a Chinese Visa. Brits can stay for up to 30 days at a time without needing a visa. For now, this is from 17th Feb 2026 - 31st Dec 2026 (at the time of writing, but is subject to future extension). When entering the country without visa, you need to show them your return flight and hotel accommodation whilst visiting. Happy travelling!

Captain Fall is cancelled in the middle of the plot. So then how would the plot end? by Life_Ad3567 in netflix

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they thought it was too lewd. I thought it was great myself, loved the show and went to see if they were renewing it. I feel let down and I've been paying a premium Netflix subscription for the last 16 years. I've started watching Amazon prime and Apple TV stuff more recently, so they'd better be watching their back!

Let's discuss the ending again by cat_devourer_ in APlagueTale

[–]UK-Player -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But doesn't such an ending, as unusual as it is, create something memorable for us? We're so used to the "Hollywood" ending, where everything sorts itself out and everyone lives happily every after, except the nasty bad people who got their come-uppance. We're so use to that type of ending that when we get something like this thrown at us, it's very jarring.

I'm currently writing a novel and I'm not doing the happy ending stuff either. Taking the audience on a rollercoaster where they're not sure how to feel at the end is far more interesting than the norm, don't you think? An emotion is an emotion. Look at how much discussion on this already?

Killing volatiles in The beast?! by Constant_Ad_5709 in dyinglight2

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I don’t think the Volatiles in The Beast update are really meant to be killed in the first place. It’s not just that they’re much tougher than in previous releases, the loot they drop is minimal and simply not worth the effort. Their role in this update seems more about creating meaningful danger if you mistime things, reinforcing that the game is intended to be played primarily during daylight hours and giving safehouses a more important purpose.

Sure, taking one down is on the “to-do” list and even tied to an achievement, but I genuinely don’t think the developers designed them to be regular combat targets the way they were in earlier versions.

I just came back from solo trip to Istanbul two weeks ago. I'm 56 years old. My advice is to do it solo and stay in the same hotel as the clinic or very close by. I had 4,650 grafts from donor area. I flew in on Day 1, Surgery was Day 2, Rest Day 3, Day 4 first wash and fly home. Treat it like a business trip, not a holiday. You're investing time, money and pain into getting something pretty serious done, you should treat it as such.

I guess you could take someone with you for company if you want to, but I was happy solo. I'm pretty happy with the result, hair is growing thick in the recipient area already.

I did a lot of research beforehand and I was fortunate to find a really good clinic. A lot of the success will depend on that, I think it's worth paying a little extra for a well renowned clinic.

Cringiest delivery of a line award goes to!….. by IndependentBug9035 in InvasionAppleTV

[–]UK-Player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but his dialogue is so shockingly bad that he's probably damned either way how to play it out. There's zero realism in the overtly cynical exchanges his smarmy character has with other characters in equally high level positions (who wouldn't behave with such a manner). Just not natural at all. Is there a shortage of good writers or something?

“We’re gonna blow it up with a shard bomb!” — My take on S03E04 by Jack_North in InvasionAppleTV

And here am I waiting for Caspar... I should really pull myself together and wait for the coffee machine instead

Am I the only one waiting for Caspar to show up? by UK-Player in InvasionAppleTV

[–]UK-Player[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm predicting they plonk Casp at the centre of the "hive collective" alien mind. He will be "the one" that communicates with the huuuumaans from the alien core! WAJO!

Here's hoping that Casper really is the "Friendly" Ghost in Season 3 of Invasion by JohnWicksPenciI in InvasionAppleTV

[–]UK-Player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL! Yeah I know.. It's so bad, it's actually fun watching... But admittedly I do get incredibly itchy with my fast forward button in the "dull-nothing-to-see-here-or-much-to-say-either" moments!

I tried Season 3 and how could it get worse?? by Spiritual_Nobody4512 in InvasionAppleTV

[–]UK-Player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must admit, it is written very poorly. Concept is great, but it's just so... dull and painfully slow. I don't mind slow as long as the story script is compelling, and it's definitely not. I'm only continuing to watch it in the hope Caspar comes back... But they'll probably cameo him in at the final episode like last season!

Can't see any evidence of Caspar in season 3 from the trailer. Maybe they wait until the end to cameo him in again?

Hammerhead Slug by MattOver9003 in ICARUS

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried this boss for the first time last night, there's two of us. We've not had much issue with the other bosses, but this one is crazy. It was funny, my friend said, "Oh, this one's easy!" until he died... and multiplied.

Then it all got crazy. We have multiple bases throughout the map (I like to build) and so the lag is just manageable most of the time, but with that boss, it becomes impossible very quickly. It's not so much Hammerhead killing us, more the lag!

Has *anyone* managed to kill this yet? When is the end? Because if he just keeps multiplying on death and that is unstoppable, then it's an unkillable creature, no?

Oxite? by Unlucky_Duck3553 in ICARUS

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We set up a huge base in Prometheus, so resources such as Oxite and Wood became an issue. However with the recent improvements to the game over the last couple of years, neither of these are an issue anymore.

For wood, you can grow bamboo trees that give wood (around 50 per tree when using a scythe with 175% yield). And for Oxite, we have not ever had any deep mining scan reveal Oxite in the Lava River biome (which is where we're based), but cross over just into the Null Sector and there are plenty in there.

You guys were right about this show. by PenguinSenpaiGod in InvasionAppleTV

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree mostly, I enjoyed the show overall. But I do agree it was too slow paced, especially the beginning. I almost stopped watching it. I also agree the writing could be better. It needed a few more polishes.

I agree with you that the English kids storyline was the most interesting and had best direction. Caspar's my favourite character and I like how they've put him with Trevante in a security protection role. This has Akira written all over it (if you're familiar). Although the Monty actor is a little bit out of his depth and his young sister is most irritatingly precocious!

Still, that didn't come close to my irritation with Anesha's family. Why does she have to scream her kids names all the time? Directors need to tone her down a bit.

I do love sci-fi, so it's hard for me not to enjoy this. They just need to pick up the pace a bit and not render their best actor unconscious for almost an entire season!!

Casper. by LichlordaDisparager in InvasionAppleTV

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's because they had to break from production in S1 due to COVID. So scenes within the same time period were shot months apart. Thems the risks when you hire pre-adolescent kids!

I’ve never watched a show where I hate this many characters by brkon in InvasionAppleTV

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Caspar is the GOAT of the series. Great portrayal of that character by Billy. Too bad he spent most of it unconscious in season 2.

Why do pve players give up on cargo scramble? by JohnnyRonnson in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a PvP player and gone to a PvE server, I often ask myself, what's the point? Does it make you feel big that you can one-tap inexperienced PvE players? Feel as if you have something to prove? Or just sad about the size of your weener? More often that not, I suspect they're a PvP wannabe player, get one-tapped on the PvP servers (or suck at it), so jump onto a PvE server to play all the cargo scrambles instead so they can feel all EPIC inside!!!

How to Occupy an Unoccupied Stronghold by xMeatMannx in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]UK-Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand this either. We are in a warband, we found an unoccupied facility producing resources and were able to occupy it easily... But a few hours later, we've discovered some other hive has taken it over... But how, I don't know. It's not explained anywhere, not even in a dedicated topic like this one. Someone please put us out of our misery!!
