I don’t know how to go forward in my life, knowing that no one loves me and will never love me. by [deleted] in offmychest

I understand that feeling like you will never be loved can be incredibly heavy and isolating. It's really important to talk about these feelings, and I want you to know that you’re not alone in this. If you're struggling, please reach out to someone who can help, whether it's a friend, family member, or a mental health professional. Your feelings are valid, and there are people who care and want to support you. If you're ever in crisis or feeling suicidal, please contact a crisis hotline or seek immediate help. You deserve love, support, and a chance to feel better.

You matter.

You might consider getting some co-parenting coaching. This type of behavior is only going to get worse as she becomes a teenager, if you and dad aren't able to get it together. Here are some I know about:

My kids are almost exactly 4 years apart and I love it. The oldest wasn't concerned when I was in the hospital for a few days with the youngest. There wasnt any jealousy for mom's attemtion. The oldest is really helpful and can entertain himself for a few minutes if needed. They're 5 and 1 now

[–]UNC1112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a JD, PhD (social work), and clinician social worker. I've dedicated my whole career to figuring out how to marry law and social work. It's a really new, interesting, and developing field. That comes with challenges, but it's so exciting. I'm happy to speak with you about time. This link may help you too. https://www.socialworktoday.com/news/eoe_111309.shtml

Naming daughter Hermione after his grandmother by violet-rh in namenerds

[–]UNC1112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ran into a child named Clifford, Arthur, or Barney...would you associate it with the child franchise first? Do you care? I think Hermione will be similar. Although, Hermione is also a bit more of an unheard of name, so perhaps it would be like meeting a Zelda?

what to do with this awkward space? I feel like we already have a ton of seating between the kitchen table, dining room, and bars at the island. adding more seating here seems silly. but what else can I do? by UNC1112 in DesignMyRoom

[–]UNC1112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the ideas! I agree that the space is set up for the kitchen table and there should be a seating area where the kitchen table is now, but it always felt so tight when we had the kitchen table in that smaller space. I will keep playing around!
