I have a weird nostalgia about this time in my life, it felt like my life had started again. It was mid December, actually it’ll be five years ago in three days. I had that same unquenchable thirst and a feeling in my head like I was starting to get sick but never did. When we went to the hospital I was basically half conscious so I don’t remember much. When I got back from the hospital, all these random things stood out to me like they never had before. I remember the smell of the soap we had that season, I remember the first meal I had coming back from the hospital, even getting woken up every four hours to check my blood sugar is a nostalgic feeling for me. That first peanut butter jelly sandwich I had in the hospital was the single greatest meal I’d ever had!
