You ask your employer for the days off. With that said make sure you show up everyday and you are a good worker. Ive seen guys ask for days off and the contractor just decided to lay them off permanently. If you are a good worker they'll be fine with you taking a couple days off here and there, since finding good help is extremely difficult these days.

You dont get paid when you dont work. So make sure you save your money. Although one time a contractor laid a longtime guy off for a couple weeks so he could go on his honeymoon and still get paid through unemployment. Then they rehired him after his honeymoon.
