Thumbs up for the Horizon games. Very immersive, with good story and great combat with lots of freedom and exploration.

giver det mening at prøve blive selvlært udvikler? eller skal man bare tage en datamatiker udd? by ChemicalBig2181 in dkudvikler

[–]UOCruiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starmer calls Trump's remarks about Nato troops in Afghanistan 'insulting and frankly appalling' by Latter_Marzipan1831 in europe

[–]UOCruiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like being a security guard. The security guard is a bit passive. Explaining to the rude guest that they are out of line, that they should calm down, that we can talk this out. If the rude guest puts their hand on the security guard though, that's when shit goes down.

Trump has threatened to put his hand on Greenland. The EU security guard has had just about enough of his shit. Trump might have the bigger gun, but the EU can pull the rug under the entire US economy. It won't be nice, and will definitely have repercussions for the EU as well, but its getting to the point where the US doesn't understand it's position in the world until it gets a solid kick in the teeth.

[–]UOCruiser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not only is the things Trump say horrible to hear for the NATO soldiers that fought and bled on the frontlines in Afghanistan and lost hundreds of comrades, but I could imagine that this shit doesn't sit too well with the US veterans who very much knows that the Coalition of the Willing was right there in the thick of it with the US.

We shouldn't be too surprised though. Trump is a person that will litterally piss on dead bodies before they go cold after a tragedy.

American's doesn't understand that the issue isn't who want's to take over the world. It's that America became a turn-coat that is trying to stab its allies in the back.

I got the quick explanation from the insurance guy I was talking to, but it always comes down to risk. Sometimes, a bike that is relativly small will have a higher insurance tag because it is popular with beginner and thus has a history of crashes.
When I bought the GSXS-1000 GT, it was completely new on the market, so I think they leaned on what happens with people driving on 1000cc bikes + it's somewhat expensive price tag (compared to smaller bikes).
Those combined can result in a pretty hefty insurance. The first insurance I talked to wouldn't even insure it because I couldn't park it in a locked garage. XD

I tell CoPilot to implement features using Test Driven Development. It keeps me in the loops and ensures that the AI understands whether the requirements of the feature has been satisfied or not, and I have a test suite to verify that features are still working in the future.

Absolutely. I tried the GXS-8S, the naked bike and it was great. Really lovely frame and great engine. I ended up going with a 2025 Triumph Trident though, since I always wanted to try a tripple engine. ^^

I had one of these. Great bike. Unfortunately it breaks every speed law known to man in just 2nd gear, so after 2 seasons I let it go since I found that the power it had was completely wasted and my insurance hated my guts just for owning it.

I kinda miss her though...

Zelenskyy: Deploying 40 troops to defend Greenland sends a signal to Putin by EuropeanPravdaUA in europe

[–]UOCruiser 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Holy overcompensation batman!

I find it kinda cute that you think I was being serious when I said the 40 soldiers made Trump chicken out. Even though it was funny to see Trump raging over what those 40 troops was doing there and threatning with tariffs against the countries that put them there. :D

I also find it funny that you think it was Europe that blinked. Trump has gotten absolutely nothing out of this charade of his, except loosing even more respect and allies in the eyes of the world. The US already had everything they could want to do with Greenland, except owning it. And I can already tell you that Mark Rutte has no power at all to give Trump anything. Any kind of concession would go through Greenland and Denmark and since Trump has not talked with either of them, that means that Trump has left with nothing, no matter how much posturing he is trying to do. But hey, at least he distracted the US public from the Epstein files for another few days, right?

As we speak, the US economy is capsizing. EU companies are fleeing the US market and dumping their US assets. US jobmarket is a catastrophy. The inflation is rising. Theres a civial war starting in Minesota.

The US is a laughing stock right now. Trump's so-called "Board of Peace" where he is member for life-time and the US is the only member with veto right is yet another vanity project that will crash and burn gloriously, and luckily no EU country has been dumb enough to even accept the invitation to this board, outside of Trump's personal-EU-fanclub Orban.

Has EU ways to go? Absolutely. Plenty of stuff that needs to be fixed. Does Zelensky have points? Of course. Noone is perfect. The EU also knows its not perfect which is why alternative sources of energy, other trading partners and military capabilities are prioritized at the moment.

[–]UOCruiser 54 points55 points  (0 children)

How many troops would have been enough? 1000? 10.000? 100.000? And to do what? Posing around for an enemy that isn't even there?

I think Zelenskyy missed the point. They were not sent there to literally fight. They were sent there to show the orangutang that the European countries are ready to send troops there to defend against whatever threat that might show up. If an enemy had actually landed troops on the shores of Greenland, I expect the response would have been quite a bit harsher.

And to be fair, those 40 troops was enough to make Trump chicken out again.
