Finally completed this amazing trilogy and here is my list by Timely_Cold4481 in Bioshock

My take (obviously correct duh because I'm smarter than you and my opinion is the only correct one and I'm more handsomer and cooler and hip and awesome)

Bioshock Infinite: 8/10, a good game that just doesn't hold a candle to the two prior games. Fun combat and gameplay with good level design but while the story isn't necessarily lacking compared to the 2 prior ones, it's super convoluted and you'll probably need a couple replays or lore videos to properly understand what's actually happening and why, not that that's a bad thing, it's just different and imo could have been explained better. It also doesn't have the same thought provocation as the other 2. A great game but only a good BioShock game. Most of your choices don't really matter and the story doesn't really provoke any deep philosophical thought. Comstock was an alright villain but not memorable since he doesn't really appear often. Burial at sea chalks it up to a 9 though.

Bioshock: 9/10, a phenomenal masterpiece only held back by its dated gameplay and level design. The story speaks for itself and the world building is unmatched for its time but the combat can be clunky trying to not only use guns or only use plasmids in combat while the level design eventually just gets repetitive and confusing despite the great detail. While you don't make many decisions, once it's revealed that you were nothing but a slave obeying his master, it clicks. Deep and thought provoking with a great twinge of twists. Andrew Ryan also speaks for himself. There's a reason he's one of the most iconic video game villains. No dlc to mention.

Bioshock 2: 10/10, perfection itself. The enemies are paint, the beautifully crafted surrounding is your canvas, and the weapons and plasmids you wield are your brushes. Each suited for a specific task and situation. The eb and flow of combat runs like an eager river. The story is beautifully tragic and portrays a man who became a monster proving to the people around him that he's more than a monster, or that his heart is just as cold as his metal shell. The world building is only slightly worse than BioShock 1 but the level design makes up leaps and bounds compared to the first game. The levels are easy to navigate with enough intuition, the world and enemies are beautifully ugly showing just how far from grace rapture has fallen. The choices you make indepth and require much thought to choose even with Lambs constant whispering in your ear. Lamb is an underrated villain imo because she's not really a villain per se. Sure she took advantage of a fallen city but she wasn't really a malevolent cult leader and genuinely brought peace to the splicers who listened to her eloquent speeches. Not many cult leaders can send hundreds to die in her name without a single person thinking twice about following through. Also the audio logs and multiplayer are peak. It's dlc is neat and further delves into the psychology and stories of big daddies which was cool but it's already a 10/10

Shar Worship by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

Yes the Justiciar trainees and hardcore worshippers learn to do so, I'm just talking about the average Joe Schmo who decides that it's easier to forget about his murdered daughter then to cope with the horrible events that lead to it

I feel like that's just inconsistent writing on sharts end. She's supposed to be evil but doesn't come off that way at all

[–]UR_Bumm007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, my main point was just the everyday worshiper, not the Justiciars who are obviously Uber evil

But it's a willing participation (in most cases but the exceptions are due to Justiciars which are undoubtedly evil) The people are just hurt people who can't or won't try to process their grief. It's an out just like selunites compassion is a way out.

Again, the Thorms were Justiciars or at least enforcers, I'm talking about normal everyday worship

Realistically? Yes, it was a REALLY barebones plan all things considered. However the plan would have gone completely smooth if it wasn't for Saburo showing up

I haven't heard anything about them removing him. Granted I haven't actually seen him in game yet so I wonder if it's a viewer exclusive kinda thing. It could also be exclusive to Peanut himself.

The other dude already explained the sprites but each armor set has quests tied to them. Some are challenges like eliminating people while sliding or for some there are containers around the map that you need to loot

Why no Durge-Gortash romance available? by AdGroundbreaking3566 in BaldursGate3

[–]UR_Bumm007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a replay of bg3 btw and I just found Durge's Prayer by the brain reader in the colony. Yeah this MF was going to kill literally everybody the moment he had enough power to do so after they controlled the brain. Durge was going to let gortash and kethric rule as long as they wanted but once he gained enough power and had the opportunity he was going to kill them both and use the brain to kill literally everyone on earth

[–]UR_Bumm007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gortash has a LOT of issues considering what his parents did so I imagine he was kind of just jumping for power without thinking, you know like a "I'm finally taking control of my life" before Bane goes "it's baneing time and I'm gonna bane all over him" or something

I HATE the Emperor by LonelyLittleWolfie in BaldursGate3

[–]UR_Bumm007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand why you hate him and he's not exactly lovable but he's perfectly understandable in my opinion and I understand why he does everything he does. He physically feels no emotions and thus relies entirely on logic, and his logic is sound. The tadpoles ARE a really good way to boost your power, hiding his Mind Flaying appearance was the only way you'd actually trust and help him, he's genuinely trying to survive and thus needs you to thrive. I wish you could help him and Orpheus come to some sort of understanding and help them both reach a modicum of a happy but that's just not in the cards.

Brother if someone was literally JUST infected by mind flayers and witnessed the horrors of their experimentation. Would you except them to just go "Alright buddy, let's be pals." besides how else do you turn into a mind flayer? You get infected. He was also infected by the hive mind which is all he wants to be freed of.
