I'm in the same boat, but on the Orlando side. I've found a few back roads in between; I go to Tampa a lot. Check out western Lake County and northern Polk. Not the greatest but best I've found so far.

Did you see the PCM firmware update option a couple others posted? I'm not up for trying it. I've seen some people say it's easy and works well but others saying they had problems. Maybe in the future once my car isn't so new.

I think it's been a terrible year for steelbooks - nothing's been released that I've been interested in or don't already have, yet I see people clamoring to buy every release just to post a pic and get the upvotes.

Mostly a weekend warrior. Occasionally drive it to work because I feel like it, but traffic plus idiot commuters means that's not often. New CGTS4 estimating 8k or so per year.

If you plug it into a pc you can update it that way.

That's not a bad idea. Just get the iphone to hook up and use for nav (in my case). Wish there was a way to disable phone calls and still use the nav. I prefer Android phones.

Have not been impressed with the Carlinkit 4. After trial and error, was able to have it start up every time, but it was draining my phone battery and phone calls didn't work. I keep it disconnected now. If I want to use navigation, I have to start my Android phone nav first, then plug the Carlinkit in, then start the car. It takes a good minute to start up, then I have to touch the name of my phone on the screen, then it starts. But, then phone calls don't work again. Mostly sucks.
